Josh has coached my 15 year old son (Michael) for the last 2 years, to help support his rugby. Josh has been totally amazing - Michael has developed so much with Josh's help, genuine encouragement and motivation. Michael is looking strong on the pitch this season and we know that so much is thanks to Josh. I approached Josh in November to help me prepare physically for WUGC (World Championships of Ultimate Frisbee) which was in June.
Josh programmed for me during those six months leading to that big event, this included: pre-season, in season, and taper. In June, I was in a shape I would not have thought possible to get into. I was playing better as the tournament progressed and I had some of my best games (if not my best games ever) in semi-finals and finals. The six months journey was incredible and I could not recommend a better strength and conditioning coach. I thought that at 32, I was a bit old to have massive gainers in terms of speed and vertical reach, but Josh proved me wrong.
After WUGC, I started to train specifically to get better at CrossFit so I joined @hpp_programming (by Josh's encouragement). In the beginning my gymnastic skill were limited but after only a couple of PT sessions I managed to get my first muscle up (MU). We worked on the individual components and they have all massively improved under his tutelage. He is always encouraging and positive and I doubt I would have improved as fast without his help

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
My sessions are fun as well as challenging, they are structured and periodised towards my clients needs. Strength and conditioning, Crossfit, as well as cycling through different energy system's correctly ensures we are moving towards you're goals without hitting plateaus.
Functional fitness and working with children is my forte, if you're looking for the rift step away from a regular ''personal trainer'' then my sessions are for you.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There are NO secrets, the key to getting the body of you're deems are to start the day you want it and work hard.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people progress their knowledge and learn how to move correctly will be something they use for the rest of the their lives. For me it's giving people a sense of knowing what they are paying for, too many people are unsure what real movement looks like or how it's performed, I give people the tools to know the difference.
