Paul arrived to quote to fell a tree and grind the stump when he said he would. We agreed a date and time when he would carry out the work and he did exactly what he said he would. Paul is amazing! My wife and I were impressed instantly by his timekeeping, professional nature and attention to detail.
He listened carefully to our vision of the garden and produced a detailed design with supporting information promptly. The supporting information was a comprehensive list of all the plants he recommended for our garden, including photos, spread and time to maturity.
Paul loves laying turf! If you want your turf laid well then this is your man because he thoroughly enjoys doing it so it will be laid with a true passion. He offered three levels of turf and we do not regret the highest specification for our small patch.
He has edged all our grass with a brown edge that disappears against the soil and provides a neat line to mow against.
I cannot praise Paul (and Janet) enough for all their efforts in producing a beautiful garden - just need to wait for it to grow a little more. Look out for a video on their Facebook page.

Paul came to remove an old tree, loads of shrubs and then turf the whole area. Two days of hard graft from morning to evening. Arrived on time, worked til the job was done, gave me advice on new turf care and even loaned me his sprinkler to get the job done. I cannot praise the service I received highly enough. Rang Paul on the Friday was hoping to surprise someone with a garden tidy up, as I knew they were getting stressed about it. It was very short notice as I needed it doing the next day. Johnsons gardening services pulled out all the stops and were more than accommodating they sent a Gardner around at 9.00am the next morning he arrived ten minutes early and did a great job in the two hour slot I'd arranged, he even did a little extra at the front of the house as he had some time left over! Paul removed a monstrous pyracantha from our garden and tidied up a lot of overgrown plants on walls fences and pergola. The whole job from initial quote through to completion was extremely professional achieving exactly what we wanted and tidying up / clearing the waste thoroughly - and all for a highly reasonable fee. We've been using Paul at Johnson Gardening Services for a while now to manage the grounds for our business and can thoroughly recommend him. Most importantly, Paul is always reliable arriving as and when agreed and manages to do an incredible amount of work in the time allowed. He is always presented professionally and leaves the grounds in a pristine condition. His actual horticultural knowledge is excellent and his passion for gardening is clear to see. Just moved into new house and garden was very overgrown and unloved. We have a property that we rent out with a garden that had become a complete mess over the years with overgrown bushes and masses of brambles everywhere.
Certainly well beyond my own capabilities to sort out.
Paul was brilliant. He is a really hard worker and got well stuck in, hardly taking a break. He cleared all the brambles, removed a dead tree, trimmed and has given new life to shrubs I thought were goners and killed all the weeds growing up through the stones and patio. It's revealed actually quite a nice space and Paul has given us lots of useful advice on easy to maintain planting for the future. Needless to say, we're going to keep using Paul to keep on top of the garden in this property! Oh, and he also took the waste away for us which was great as it seems quite a few gardeners in the area don't! Thanks Paul. Can't recommend you enough!
