Q&As

I love meeting and getting to know new people, and how different each relationship with a client is.

I've worked within agencies and organisations (including a school, a university and an NHS-affiliated substance use charity) and I do love being part of a team in that way, however I also like the freedom to manage my own counselling diary as I spend most of the week lecturing.

I am committed to really listening to clients, understanding how their world is, and offering them a safe space where we can work out what you want and need, and how to best get there.

Yes, I offer Zoom or Skype work and have done so since 2020. I have also undertaken additional Online and Phone Therapy training as this way of working requires some different skills and considerations to working face-to-face.

I am very conscious of keeping clients as safe as possible, and in addition to any government, insurer or therapy room policies which may come into being, I keep a window open where possible, formalise it into the initial contract that clients experiencing symptoms should cancel their session, and I would not attend a session if feeling unwell, regardless of Covid test result. I can also carry disinfectant wipes and wipe down contact surfaces if required.

Services

Whether you're looking for short-term help with a specific issue, a chance to spend a while exploring something from the past, or you have no idea what's wrong or 'who you are' at the moment, counselling can help you to sort through it all and make some sense of the situation.
