I'm Jackie and I am a Specialist Dietitian registered with the HCPC and BDA.
I have a specific interest in managing Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) with dietary changes and my experience includes working with many clients using low FODMAP dietary education. I have the appropriate post graduate training from Kings College London. I also offer specialist dietary advice to adults in their management of Type 1 and 2 diabetes.
Having graduated with a first class (hons) Degree in Nutrition, I have over 20 years working as a Registered Dietitian and I am highly experienced in working with both clients on a one to one. I work closely with other health professionals, Consultants and GPs aiming to support and help motivate clients with dietary and behaviour changes to maximise health.
I am passionate about cooking and providing practical information on meals to suit individual needs as well as catering for the whole family.
With young children myself, I am very aware of the challenges. I offer a free initial telephone consultation to get to know your nutritional issues, and discuss goals and expectations of the consultation.
Jackie is the first practitioner I have met who really understands IBS and can provide practical advice on managing the FODMAP diet, by making a personalised analysis of my current food intake and symptoms. I have struggled with stomach and bowel conditions for over 4 years and had given up hope of ever feeling 'normal' or being able to eat without pain and discomfort. I came away from my first session feeling empowered and excited to make the changes she suggested and the FODMAP guides she gave me are great, easy to use and come everywhere with me. IBS can be so debilitating, I'm hopeful for the first time in a long time that I will be able to manage it much better. More...
