JGF Fitness is run by Jonathan Fairhurst, a Wirral based personal trainer offering both tailored one to one personal training and regular group training sessions each with their own specific focus. Working from the fitness studios of Creation PT & Therapies in Milner Road, Heswall.
With existing personal training clients ranging from 14 to 85 years and with goals as diverse as preparing for life in the military, specific sporting goals, general fitness, weight loss and toning, looking good on wedding day right through to rehabilitation following injury and loss of mobility. The range of fitness goals is huge and successful programmes have been created and delivered for each of them.

I can highly recommend Jons run delelopment sessions on monday evenings. Apart from the running, the drills & strenghthening exercises have helped improve my running technique. The speed & hill interval sessions are fun & challenging. I have surprised myself many times on these sessions by what I have been able to achieve. Jons knows how to get the best out of people. Can't rate Jon's sessions highly enough, I've been attending Circuit training and TRX/Kettle bell sessions for a little over a year and they have improved my fitness/core/strength massively, the sessions well organised with a great variation of exercise to keep you on your toes and keep you developing, I started the training to help me develop my cycling and it made a huge difference to my riding, I was able to more than double the mileage of my first 2015 ride compared to 2014 and the only variation to my routine/diet etc was regular training with Jon.
Jon himself is great motivator, who always gets the best out of you during a session, he's very engaging and friendly and due to that sessions are always enjoyable, hard work but still fun.

I entered my first marathon in December last year, it was in Manchester on the 10th April, Jon fairhurst at jgf fitness met up with me for a coffee and set me up a marathon training plan. The plan was great and flexible as I work very odd hours and also have a young family,
I also attended his running development classes on a Monday evening which are a great help if you want to improve your running, and suited for any type of runners, Fast or slow, with a great bunch of people there to run with.

I've been training with Jon for a while now, finding the combination of the running development and circuit training suits me perfectly. Running development is a growing mixed ability group, and Jon caters for all levels with a progressive approach to distance. In combination with longer runs on my own, it's a great way of improving race times.

Great friendly place to train
One month to go until the London Marathon, training going well. Out of the blue came a calf injury, couldn't even run half mile. Seriously considered pulling out of London Marathon. Andy really helped with treatments, advice and rehab. Took every bit of advice and completed a successful London Marathon, cannot recommend enough. Cheers Andy! More...
