Jason is an excellent coach and a great professional. He is highly skilled, very technical and has a vast knowledge of strength training and conditioning. During the time I've been working with him I've had big improvements in some persisting injuries as well as technique and strength. More...

In the short space of time that I’ve been working with Jason, I’ve seen major improvements in my strength and movement pattern which is essential in powerlifting. I’m new to the sport and upon looking for a coach, I can honestly say that I couldn’t have found a better coach more dedicated to my progress. I've been working with Jason since November 2017. Being a PT and a few years of solid training behind me I was at a difficult point. All my energy was going on my clients and I was having difficulty with my own compliance. Jason has systematically transformed my technique. Using proven methods with his own take on it, from his on first hand experience, you really can't get a better package. What he offers is nothing short of 1st class. He has handled me at The All England's Championship and the British Championships this year. The aim now is to improve my total ready for The All England's again in 2019. I've been working with Jason this year with a goal of competing in my first Powerlifting meet sometime in 2019. I've seen the best progress of my lifting 'career', in the shortest time and, as well as getting me stronger, he has also fixed a couple of niggling hip and SI issues which I previously spent hundreds of pounds on with various physios. Strength training really is a craft for Jason, he is a clever bloke and there is zero bro to be seen anywhere, he is constantly reading and improving and he really takes things seriously. I have over 11 years of training experience across numerous sporting disciplines. I’ve experienced first-hand training and competition of an elite standard at club, national and International level. I can safely say that technique and strength focused training works. Mastering the main compound lifts and incorporating these into each program on an individual basis leads to a solid foundation. This is the platform you need to move forward and achieve your goals, injury free.

Training with me, you will receive expert coaching and education to equip you with the physical and mental tools necessary to reach your full potential. I am fiercely dedicated to your success and am here to deliver results. My priority will be to coach you great lifting technique and ensure you have balance throughout the body to give you the solid foundations necessary for you to move forward.

The method and approach I use to achieve the above will not always be the same. Everyone is different and comes with different levels of skill, strength, experience, and knowledge. My programmes reflect the unique individual needs of each person I work with and are developed and advanced in accordance with your progress, performance and feedback.

It’s through this individualised, systematic approach, alongside my ability to coach, set realistic but challenging goals and keep you accountable, that I aim to ensure your success.

There really is no secret. No magic pill, no magic workout and no magic diet. That is one of the best pieces of advice I can give. We are all very individual and what works brilliantly for Tom may be the exact opposite of what Harry might need. There is a big element of trial and error to getting the body or performance of your dreams. It takes time to figure out exactly what your requirements are and even then, things must be consistently tweaked and monitored. As your body adapts and changes, so will the training and dietary requirements.

What is 100% needed (which is in fact no secret at all), is a great work ethic, patience, persistence and consistency. It will be a process, but that doesn't mean it you have to hate it. There is more than one way to skin a cat and different approaches can be used to achieve the same results.

The single most thing I love about my job is the capacity it gives me to make a genuine change in peoples lives. Working with a range of people with a variety of individual goals is great. Being able to be a part of each journey and seeing the progress, satisfaction and happiness that results after working with me on one of my programs is a great feeling and a huge sense of accomplishment.

I sort of always knew I wanted to work for myself. I learnt a lot working for David Lloyd gym in 2012. However, If i'm being honest, earning only a fraction of what they would charge to their members for Personal Training sessions was one of my motivators to get out and do things on my own. Aside from this, emphasis at David Lloyd, as it is at many other commercial gyms, was too much on signing up any and every member that was interested in order to make the company the most money. Integrity is one of my biggest values and I am under no illusion that I won't be the best coach or trainer for everyone. Running my own business allows me to work with exactly who I want to work with. I have in the past recommended people who have inquired about working with me to other trainers who I genuinely think would be a better fit for them. It's not just about the money. If I can't enjoy who I'm working with then it will inevitably show in my work, which ultimately reflects badly on me as coach.

The passion for what I do is clear to see. I am 100% invested in making a difference to your training and have genuine care and interest for everybody I work with. When working with me you can expect a hands on approach, effective training methods and programs, accountability, my respect for you as an individual and above all, my energy and enthusiasm to ensure the process and your experience is fun and enjoyable as well as delivering you the results you want.

Services

Sessions will be up to 1 hour and I can write programmes to cater for sports players, athletes and gym goers of all levels of ability and experience. I will work closely with you to ensure I provide everything necessary for you to reach the level you aspire to. It is very important to me that I get you to your goals the right way. My approach will improve your movement, develop your lifting techniques, improve your work capacity and reduce your risk of injury whilst working through the appropriate training modalities to get you to your performance, physique and fitness goals.

Similar to 1-2-1 personal training, sessions will be up to 1 hour and cater for sports players, athletes and gym goers of all levels of ability and experience. For group sessions, it will be ideal if participants are all of a relatively similar ability so that everyone can receive a similar amount of coaching and time throughout the session. I will work closely with you as a group to ensure everyone receives some individual coaching and feedback during the session. It is very important to me that each person is happy and satisfied they are getting what thy need to progress and reach their goals. My approach will improve your movement, develop your lifting techniques, improve your work capacity and reduce your risk of injury whilst working through the appropriate training modalities to get you to your performance, physique and fitness goals.

Sessions are one-to-one and programmes cater for all levels from complete beginners to elite level lifters. I will work with you to develop technical excellence and proficiency (specific to your body type and levers) in all three lifts (back squat, bench press and deadlift) and coach you through my carefully designed programmes to keep your lifting and numbers progressing. We will get you to the platform ready to display your true strength and hit PB’s when it really matters!
