"Training with JJ has been a life changing experience. I have lost a total 32kg since starting my journey with JJ over a year ago. I've had serval reoccuring injuries in the past which made me reluctant to start training again, however JJ constructed my programme around my needs whilst also using the programme to strengthen my injured areas. I'm a person who has been phobic about gyms for many years. I am unfit, lead a mostly sedentary lifestyle and as a writer and trainer do a lot of careful thinking and creating but NOT moving. JJ has helped me to get back into physical exercise. He is great fun, encouraging but realistic, creative in his planning of a fitness programme to match my needs- and challenge me-and he has truly made going into a gym to work out something I enjoy doing! I have been lucky enough to work with Sarah Pearson after I was injured in Afghan.
At that time I still could not read or write due to the head injury.
However, Sarah quickly realised that even though my life had changed massively my focus was still on Outdoor activities.
She focused on what I COULD DO rather than what I COULD NOT !!
She gave me an aim to read and learn the sports of Triathlon. We did a 3 day ultra Triathlon in 2016.
Sarah is an unbelievable mentor and will be a credit as a Personal Trainer.

I love training with JJ - he always made me laugh even when he was pushing me beyond what I thought I could achieve! I loved doing the boxing and therefore there was always boxing in our sessions - JJ really listens to what you enjoy, what motivates you and what holds you back and tailors his programmes to have the right balance so you always look forward to doing it, whilst adding new elements which also test you and most importantly hone and shape you.

Jason is a FANTASTIC personal trainer. I worked with him in the 12 weeks prior to running the Great North Run and he designed an ideal programme of training for me which led to me achieving my goal of completing the Great North Run, running all the way, and well under my sub 2 hour target time. I was introduced to JJ by a physio who has been helping me with some problems linked to polymyalgia rheumatica. My mobility has been badly affected and I've gained a lot of weight. I used to be fairly fit and did a lot of long-distance running, so this has taken some adjusting to! JJ has been fantastic and has helped me a lot. I've had one excellent trainer before (plus a couple not so great) so I've got a good basis for comparison, and I'd say that JJ is right up there with the best. His approach is flexible, imaginative, and understanding of my limitations, while always encouraging me to do more. I had to write a review for Jason, or JJ as I know him. I went to see him having had a recommendation from a professional massage therapist.
I hadn't had a personal trainer before. The following is a measure of the man: I suffered a spinal stroke a few years ago and that has severely hampered what was a very active and sporting life. Jason came to meet me at my home and we had a long chat about what my goals could be and what he could do to help me. This covered a variety of different things including potential lifestyle changes such as diet etc.
Straight away I felt totally relaxed, what a nice bloke! Interested and engaged is an understatement. Very much bearing in mind my potential limitations we embarked on a training programme at his modern gym in Aveton Gifford. Despite my sporting background I never really enjoyed gymwork, preferring to be out playing my various sports. JJ made the gym sessions great fun and really informative, any reservations were immediately blown away. I have heard that some personal trainers can be really tough and others not tough enough. JJ makes it so easy to really test yourself yet at the same time adjust your programme to give you the maximum benefit due to his obvious huge depth of knowledge. If he didn’t know something about my particular problem then he found out about it during the time between sessions.
He made a big difference to me and I made a friend, what more could you want?
