Jamie taught me that portrait photography is so much more than simply a beautiful photo; the relationship with the subject, the preparation beforehand, the experience of taking the photos, and so many other factors can elevate a photo from great to truly stunning and special. Jamie’s ability to incorporate all of these elements is something that clearly comes naturally for her. She has an amazing eye, and makes the entire process meaningful from beginning to end. I was certainly nervous and self-conscious before the shoot, but she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful. She spent a lot of time preparing for the shoot to get a sense of what my vision was, and also had invaluable suggestions and tips for me beforehand and during the shoot. Jamie guided me through various poses and looks that were totally tailored to me. I had never done a photoshoot before, but Jamie expertly showed me how to pose, making me feel completely at ease. While I absolutely knew that the photos would be beautiful, I was floored by how gorgeous they turned out. Jamie knows how to capture the essence of a person through her photography. We had one of the most amazing photo shoots w/ Jamie! I love the honesty and pure joy Jamie was able to capture. Even our 2 reluctant tweens embraced the day, and had such a blast! And Grandma @92 yrs young had a fabulous day! Jamie & her stylist treated her like a movie star! Doesn't get better than that!! Thank you so much, Jamie! This was not my first "rodeo" when it comes to professional photo shoots, but it was by far the most magical. Jamie's planning session was an appropriate way to set the tone, and I knew immediately that we were going to have an excellent session. Jamie found and excellent hair/makeup artist (THANK YOU Theresa!!) to set the stage for the day. Theresa did a great job doing both my hair and makeup in a way that was a good representation of who I am, and was clean and flawless for the photos.The tone for the shoot was fun, and she did an excellent job of using natural light. I originally thought that 5 wardrobe changes was going to be over the top, but Jamie managed to execute artistically delightful images over and over again.I'm delighted about being able to use these photos for marketing with my business. Portrait photographer are abound, but finding one that can capture the REAL you...the beautiful, perfect you that even you have a hard time receiving, is very (nearly impossible) to find. Jamie has the uncanny ability of making you fall in love with yourself.You might think I'm exaggerating, but trust me, she has the gift of empathy and the unconditional will of ensuring that every single one of her clients feels emotionally safe in accepting the experience. Aside from her technical talent as a photographer--which isn't shy of true mastery--she is present and stays connected with you throughout the entire process (planning the shoot, preparing for the shoot, during the shoot, and after). Jamie is one of the most talented photographers I have worked with. She was very adaptable to my requests. I wanted an outdoor shoot and an indoor shoot. We had a consultation session where she let me pick my favorite shots and we talked about which ones I like most and how I'd like to be portrayed. That made it very easy for me to decide the look I was going for.We did the outdoor shoot and then an indoor one and I was very satisfied with the stunning pictures she took.I brought my partner over and we selected our favorite photos after watching a preview on her TV.She found out that my partner and I were getting married and decided to gift us an additional photo as a wedding gift.The whole thing was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Jame Nease for portrait photography! I had a photo shoot with photographer Jamie Nease today. It was wonderful working with someone who's passionate about what they do. She's definitely found her calling and it shows in her work. I've had experience with other photographers but none of them came close to the experience I had with Jamie. She took care of all the details so I didn't have to think about anything but smiling and enjoying the process. She made me feel comfortable, at ease and relaxed. It was even fun! I never thought it was possible to have fun at a photo shoot.I also never thought of myself as being photogenic so getting my photo taken is not something I enjoy, in fact, I downright dislike it. With Jamie behind the camera and Maya, her stylist, enhancing my features, they made me look fantastic. Again, the two of them took care of all the details by making sure my clothing was just right, my hair and makeup was perfect and I was positioned to show off the best part of me. Jamie was fantastic to work with and the passion and love that she has for photography shows in her photos. She makes you feel comfortable throughout the shoot and is extremely detailed in explaining each pose to get the best out of your photo. I had been looking into professional shoots for months carefully reviewing each photographers profile to see if they incorporated fun and charismatic images and not just the standard corporate style poses. I saw she had just what I was looking for when she photographed my friend. She is amazing at bringing out a smile you never thought you had. I went to Jamie for a new professional shot to include in my bio's and in professional social media (LinkedIn, corporate directory/Skype, etc). I do keynote speeches and sessions at professional events, and my previous photo was about 5 years old. I had a specific shot in mind -- outdoors, approachable, trendy, upbeat. LoL Jamie nailed that shot in honestly about 5 minutes (although she diligently insisted on 30 minutes more of posing/pics for perfection). She totally can visualize what you are looking for, and she sees things like lighting and perspective in ways that I simply cannot. I was so happy....*but* then Jamie insisted on also getting some studio shots... Let me tell you, I historically had not liked the studio shots I'd had taken in my life before, so I wasn't sure this would be worth the time. OMG, to my astonishment, Jamie produced awesome shots I could have never imagined. Her approach to posing, lighting, color, background -- again, I could not possibly visualize what she produced. From those who know me, I get comments on both my professional outdoor pic and my studio pics (which I now include in all my bio's at events) *literally* every single time somebody sees them for the first time ("wow -- that's a great picture").
