I have been going to Dina Ivory since 2006. First as a nanny for two little girls, and I always looked forward my work days when it was a photo day on their baby plan and was so impressed with Dina. I have to say, Dina Ivory is a true artist! Portrait photography is more than just pointing a camera and throwing a few lights up. Yes, there are those photo studios out there that do that type of work, but Dina knows how to set up a shot, light it properly and to bring out a person's personality in order to captures that person's essence! In December when I was home for Christmas, I wanted to make sure we had a family portrait made with my mother especially since my mother was getting up on age. When her studio called us into see the proofs, I was blown away. She captured my mom's personality and the sweetness that she is known for by the many people that loved her so dearly. Sadly, my mother passed away 4 months later and this was one of those times I listened to that voice inside to get this portrait made now and not to wait! I'm so glad we have the portrait, but even more, is Dina captured my mother's essence and no money value can be put on that -- it's an art, it's talent, it's beautiful! I work in the motion picture and television industry so I'm around a lot of top notch photographers so I know what I'm saying when I say, Dina is a true artist. We have been with Dina since 1998, when our first grandson was born. Since then we have rarely missed a 4th of July, Christmas and many other times in our lives. This group of people accept you as family and work to make your sessions so personable. Dina is phenomenal at getting just the right shot. My family loves to get photographs done with her! We moved to town about 2 years ago when I was expecting my fourth baby, and went to see Dina on the recomendation of a friend. I wanted to get some pregnancy portraits, and even though I felt fat I knew it would be my last baby so it was now or never! What a great experience! She spent a lot of extra time talking with me about what I would like, and even though I was nervous at first Dina is just really funny and warm and that really set me at ease. Her staff helped care for my older 3 boys while I was having my pictures taken, and we all enjoyed ourselves. I love my pregnancy pictures, I am SO GLAD I did them!! I love looking back at that time, and it makes me feel really beautiful. Since then we have had a family portrait done by her and what is amazing is that everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves, even my husband who most of the time complains if he is doing anything other than fishing!We don't go often, since they are on the pricey side, but what you get is definitely worth the money, and since you'll have them forever, it is worth making the investement. The best thing is that they run specials 5 or 6 times a year where the prices are reduced. We've been doing our Christmas card pictures this way and everyone complements us on how beautiful they look. I DEFINITELY recomend Dina Ivory, especially if your kids are a little bit wild or unruly like my boys are! More...
