A very poor experience with the Covent Garden store.
Went in for a screen replacement, at a much higher price than independent repair shops (£179. 99), I thought it worth it because of the size of the company and their warranty promise. On returning to the store after a few hours the screen they had put on was faulty, I had to leave my phone a second time with the technicians and then had a working screen. Additionally they broke off the back panel of my phone and I had to return the next day for it to be replaced. Never-the-less the screen was working and the staff seemed apologetic. The next day my headphone port began to play up, the day after it had stopped working completely.
I went back to the store and explained the issue, the staff member, who going by his name badge was the manager, immediately became defensive, claimed the phone was unable to be checked at the initial appointment because the password I had given was incorrect, which I argued was not the case and if it were the staff could have asked once again for the password on one of the 3 occasions I was at the store. He was rude, accused me of lying and before even looking at my phone claimed the fault was there before his team worked on my phone.
More so than his refusal to even consider any fault of the technicians, his behaviour was utterly disrespectful and nasty, and the warranty they give seemingly default. Would not recommend this company at all. More...

Ok, now I don’t want to get too carried away but this place is incredible and saved me a load of money. I went to Apple as I had a quiet speaker on my iPhone. They “cleaned” it but it didn’t fix it. They also did a software check and said my speaker was broken and would cost £150.00. Luckily I didn’t do it straight away and found iSmash in Covent Garden. They actually cleaned it and the speaker is as good as new. It took 30 seconds for them to do, no appointment and didn’t even charge me. Incredibly nice guys and top service. I also found out that if I did need to fix the speaker with iSmash it would cost a quarter of the price with them than it would with Apple. Amazing More...

Honestly!! My guy SALMAN saved the day! I am so happy that he was able to fix my phone when Apple said nothing could be done. My phone was completely dead and would not charge or turn on and I feared I lost all my photos. He was confident, helpful and so efficient, if i had known I would have gone here first instead of wasting time sitting around in the Apple store. Had the best experience at iSmash Convent Garden today thanks to Anna who is one of their specialists. My computer had not been charging for days and I was heading over to the apple store when I came across ismash and thought I would give it a try. This place has got to have the best customer service among the iPhone/electronic repair stores that I've visited. I had a silicone bead stuck in my iMac headphone jack, and they speedily and effortlessly removed it. When I offered to pay, the guy who repaired it insisted that it wouldn't cost anything. I'm not just leaving a good review because I didn't have to pay, but because of how accommodating and helpful the staff were in general to not only me, but the other patrons of the store. If you feel trapped with the limited options after visiting the Apple store this is really the right place. My MacBook pro suddenly broke down and Apple told me I have to spend 850 pounds and wait for 7 days to change the SSD. I need it immediately for school so I came here, ended up getting back my mac on the day with not even half the price! This ISmash is without a doubt the best shop in London. After a bad experience with the Charing Cross ISmash in the past this one filled me with happiness. I arrived late for my appointment and they acted like I was bang on time. They ran a full diagnostic on my phone and were very understanding of my situation and instead of the 24-48hour service that they advertise as the ISmash company they called me back 5hours later to say that they had finished the entire job and that if I arrived before they closed I could collect it that same day!!! This was even more impressive considering that they were short staffed due to holidays! I arrived slightly later than they closed around 7.05 and they were still there with the same happy attitude waiting to give me my phone! It was repaired well and had even been charged up and brushed clean! I have had no problems with the phone since. Overall I could not have asked for a better service. Amazing staff who not only keep to their timings but go above and beyond to make a customer happy by smashing all levels of expectations! They made a great experience out of a terrible situation! Very courteous staff in the branch, efficient battery replacement on iPhone 6s Plus completed in as little as 45 minutes. Just a heads up that the replacement battery is not an Apple replacement part but a 3rd party product, it does of course have a one year warranty though.
