I would say that it's safe to say that if you're reading this, you're looking for a Houston web design or Search Engine firm. There are some good options for other companies but IOM Partners, at the end of the day, is one of the top 2-3 choices that you'll end up considering. I'ts a great company. They helped me design a website and a blog about lawnmowers, they gave me real and verifiable statistics so that I know what I'm getting myself into. That was the final piece that put me at ease. None of the other companies really took the time I felt was required to be able to turn the project over to them. After a couple of meetings (sorry for being such a pain, guys), I was sold on them and we moved forward. We're about to live with our site and we're all HUGE fans of the IOM Partners guys. Mobile responsibility, creatively carrying the brand throughout every element of the design, using graphic elements to tell as story as much or more than the content, solid, tested and reliable functionality.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the goal of the project? To describe the brand and corporate culture. Project requirements. Short term and long term goals.
Describe your creative process.
We begin all projects with design consultations, mockups, wire-frames, etc. We have found that by staging projects and beginning with architecture and visual design before any coding lets us devote creative and engineering time to the look and feel of a product with no limits to the number or revisions or changes we can offer a client before we begin coding, which actually greatly reduces the number of human hours and therefore costs.
After the completion of the very thorough system architecture/UI/wireframe/mockup phase we quickly move through coding and testing with our experienced development team.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Specific project scope, list of requirements, logo and branding (if utilized in a site or app design), content, wireframes, sitemaps if agreed to be provided, executed statement of work contract, non-disclosure agreements (if required), deposit payment.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with a variety of clients and personally learning about their brands, industries and businesses - then creating something amazing for them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The independence of working for ourselves, but being able to have a great team make it possible!
