Life is busy and often there is not enough time to sort and stay organized. Working parents with childen often find themselves never at home so the chaos of everyday items pile up with no system in place. Sometimes you just need a little help to get back on track so you can think straight.
A Fresh Start
My family and friends have called on me for years (in my spare time) to help clean up and do light interior design updates to their cluttered rooms. I know where to find what they need on a budget. I also offer interior design services for all rooms including kitchens/bath updates and overall home paint color suggestions. It’s just a passion of mine to help others make an old cluttered room look fresh and new. You don’t have to get rid of everything.
Prep For Home Sale
When your house is on the market it must be stripped of personal identity so the potential buyer can place themselves in your environment. Clutter is an eyesore and often detours a potential buyer. The closets and shelves need to be straight and every room should be picture perfect. Don’t hide things under the bed! There is a way to create harmony in your home without getting rid of everything you own.
I will set up donation bins for review and recycle as much as possible, but every decision is up to you! I will even donate to whatever organization you prefer. I can also call for you and arrange pick up from the company of your choice.
(disposal and shredding)
As we work through the clutter we may come across paperwork you no longer need to keep, but contains sensitive information like tax id, social security or credit card information. If there is a large amount of paper to be shredded I can call a professional shredding service to come to your home or office. Fees may apply depending on the amount to dispose.
Senior Relocation and Downsizing
When I work with senior relocation and downsizing I will be very patient and judgement-free with everyone involved. I know their possessions mean a lot to them, nevertheless I will offer a neutral opinion to help them move on to the next stage of life with the smallest of inconvenience and heartache. I can work with the move in coordinator at the facility or new location to help all transition gor smoothly.
Moving In or Out (packing/unpacking)
Move is overwhelming and a lot of work! I can arrange movers depending on the destination. I will help you (or alone) do the physical work of packing your belongings. This task may require additional support that I will provide. All delicates are carefully wrapped and protected. The contents of each box are clearly labeled, so unloading and unpacking is very quick. All supplies are discussed up front. I can help you set up your new place the way you want and offer interior design as needed. Your kitchen and master bedroom/bathroom are top priority so you feel at home as quickly as possible. All boxes and packing supplies are removed so you can return to your lifestyle right away.
Shopping & Interior Design Services
(shopping / fixture and paint color research)
Once we figure out what is needed for your job, we will create a shopping list. I can take digital photos for approval of the items needed. Samples of kitchen & bath fixtures plus paint swatches can be gathered. Any items purchased for you will be added to your total bill. Large furniture items will need to be purchased directly or a 50% deposit will be required.
Initial Consultation & Review
(required before contract agreement)
During my initial review we will discuss the project(s), in general. This includes, but is not limited to, the desired purpose of each space/item, what has and has not worked for you in the past, your tastes and preferences, and your timeline for completion. We will determine job requirements, such as any supplies needed, estimate of hours, and if any other workers or service providers will be needed. And finally, we will schedule working times and sign an agreement. See work sheet available for pricing and detailed services.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping home owners and office managers create organization and well thought out design harmony in their environment. At the end of the process, the satisfaction knowing that client's have peace of mind and are set up for success as long as they follow through with what they have learned from InMind Design, LLC.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For 22 years I owned and operated a graphic design business in NY, NJ, CT, and AL. In September of 2013, my life took a different path and I decided to help my father in-law residing in Santa Fe, NM due to his declining health. I researched and met with multiple assisted living facilities in Birmingham, AL. I selected and put in place all necessary details for a resident move in date. I jumped on an airplane and in one week I sorted, divided and packed my father in-law’s personal belongings of a 25 year marriage. He had to leave behind his furniture for home sale purpose so I purchased and managed installation of everything including TV’s to medical equipment for a two bedroom assisted living apartment in one month. It was a lot to get done in a short time frame. I monitored and managed his life, such as doctor appointments, bills, medicare, assisted living, family communication and purchase personal items needed. He had Parkinson’s, Scoliosis and Kyphosis. After two years of battling the diseases he passed in July of 2016. This extreme process taught me that I can provide a multitude of services for people in need. I can easily provide support teams based on the current needs of clientele in the home or office environment.

I have been a graphic designer and the business owner of a design studio for 28 years in NYC, CT, NJ and currently residing Birmingham, AL. so attention to detail, organization and deadlines is an every day task. I have decided to follow my passion and go full time with helping home owners and office managers create organization and well thought out design harmony in your environment (color, shape, texture and form).
