What do you love most about your job?

The belly laughs and wows of small children. It's all about introducing children to new experiences and engaging them in activities that make them feel good.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I'm an Aunty. All of things that Academy of FUN! do are things I have done with my nieces and nephews as they grew up. Going on superhero adventures, building amazing things out of LEGO, baking, crafting, making up silly sports, having a go on musical instruments. When the nieces and nephews started to grow up and roll their eyes at Aunty Kates crazy exploits I knew I needed to find new playmates!
At the same time I'm continually disheartened by the statistics for young people developing mental health conditions and Academy of FUN! is my way of trying to improve the odds.

Why should our clients choose you?

Academy of FUN! is a community interest company, founded in 2015 to provide engaging activities for 4-11 year olds that encourage lifestyle choices inline with the NHS 5 ways to mental well being. Masters of secret learning our creative professionals, that's actors, musicians and artists inspire and wow. As a not for profit we use income from commercial events to subsidise work with charities and community groups. on Twitter
