We chose Ian as our wedding photographer and we couldn't be happier with the photos we received! Ian is such a friendly guy and is so easy to get along with. We had a pre wedding shoot and both of us were pretty nervous beforehand as we weren't sure what to expect but we met Ian, he explained to us that we were just to act natural and to pretend he wasn't there and it turned out to be a really fun afternoon. We told Ian that we wanted very natural photos to catch people unknowingly and on the actual day, Ian was so professional and we didn't even really know he was there!We can't recommend Ian enough so if you are looking for a very friendly easy going photographer who creates fantastic shots then he is the photographer for you! We organised everything from overseas and couldn't have been more pleased with Ian. From the very first phone call he made us feel at ease. He had some brilliant ideas for unique shots on the day as well as taking all the family shots we wanted and blending into the evening surroundings to take some fantastic natural shots. We were over the moon with the final outcome and the album we received is amazing. We were thrilled to be able to work with Ian when we were planning a 70th birthday surprise for my Dad, and were even more delighted when we saw the amazing photos. Ian was marvellous from the moment we met him - engaging with the youngest (3) to the eldest (70) to get some really spectacular photos of the family, dogs included. Ian was so accommodating, had some really great ideas for photos that worked across the generations and we're very excited about getting plenty of them up on the walls. I would highly recommend Ian as an amazing wedding photographer. We enjoyed his company for both our engagement shoot and the wedding. The photographs are excellent, the only problem is now trying the choose the best ones for our album as they are all beautiful. We chose Ian as our wedding photographer based on the stunning photos of other weddings in his portfolio. After a chat with Ian we knew that he was the right man for the job. He was fantastically straightforward and completely understood that the day and the photos were all about us and was able to accommodate our requests. He really spent time getting to know us and putting us at ease at our pre-wedding test shoot. We knew from when we had our first meeting with Ian that we had picked the best person to photograph our day. During the planning stages he was conscientious in making efforts to understand our vision for what our wedding and photography would look like, but also was very supportive and helpful when we had no idea where to begin! On the day, we had challenges including torrential rain, limited daylight and a Indian-English ceremony complete with an indoor fire. Not that this was a problem for Ian. He planned and contingency planned around sunset, weather, and the movements of the bridal party, and delivered absolutely fantastic photographs of the day from beginning to end. We ended up with beautiful natural shots of family and friends, as well as the bride and groom. The extra efforts that Ian makes set him apart from many other photographers. He arrived first thing in the morning and stayed with us until very late, giving us a set of photos which truly showcase the whole day (not just until 8pm). He put together a superb animated montage in addition to our regular photos. Above all, he was a joy to work with on the day. It was not only my wife and I who were put instantly at ease by Ian, but both our families also. Ian takes visible pride and joy in his work - it really shows on his photos, presentation and professionalism. We would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone. After meeting Ian just once we felt like we'd known him for ages and could trust him implicitly with photographing our special day, and what a great decision it was. He captured the fun and emotion of our day perfectly and understood exactly what we were looking for. Nothing was too much trouble even to the point of overcoming his fear of heights to get a brilliant group shot from on top of a roof!!We have wonderfully relaxed shots of everyone we love and some beautiful shots of us and we even had fun taking them!The pre-wedding shoot is a must. Ian was brilliant at giving us pointers on how to make the photos looked relaxed and it made it so much more fun and easy going on the day and saved loads of time searching for the "Perfect Shot". He has a good eye for capturing the best composed shots and seeing the best backdrops for some fabulous photos.He was great at capturing wonderful moments without being noticed so nobody felt like they had to pose, and he was inconspicuous throughout the formal parts of the day whilst still managing to get the perfect picture.We would have no hesitation in highly recommending Ian to anybody looking for a photographer.
