What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Having a happy, well prepared and relaxed client and it's my job to make sure those three are in place.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to call my client to discuss what they are looking for in their photos so we can work together to achieve their vision. We will talk about locations, clothes, colors, props etc. When it's time for their session, they will be prepared and ready to SMILE!!! :)
Once the session is over, the client will have a private online proof gallery to share with family and friends. Once they have selected their favorite images to be edited, they will receive a final gallery to order their artwork and download their digital images. All print orders can be mailed to them or picked up at the studio.
What do you love most about your job?
As some of you know, I’m not only a family photographer. Photography has many different genres, especially when you have a studio, as I do. The possibilities are endless, and it’s fun!
Yes, it can be a challenge, but ultimately photo shoots are enjoyable. For the client, it’s a great excuse to get together and be cute or silly, and for me, it’s a chance to be part of that and take images that are truly unique to the moment and the people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My daughter modeled for 9 years and I went on every photo shoot and paid job she ever had. During this time I met a lot of photographers, makeup artists and designers. I've always enjoyed taking pictures and I was always my families 'photographer' so I decided to take it seriously once my daughter left for college. She is now in the corporate world thriving as a marketing manager and yoga instructor.
Why should our clients choose you?
I want my clients to choose me because I honestly do care about their photoshoot. I am happy to suggest locations. I send a list of things to help them prepare for their photoshoot. Suggestions regarding best time to shoot, clothes, colors, makeup tips, props, etc. Once the client has received their final images, I always contact them to ensure there are no issues and that they are 100% satisfied.
