Dog Training in Small GroupsI've taken my doodle to 3 different classes at Humane Domaine and been very pleased with the hands on training provided. The location is convenient, it's held inside a large barn on a working farm where you're able to unleash your dog at times for instruction. Our favorite class was the Agility training, which was high energy and fun for both myself and my fur baby. More...

Debbie is AMAZING. I came to her with a 2yr old pup who had been attacking our 7mo pup. She spent almost 3 hours talking with me and listening to me and trying to help. Unfortunately, it became evident that our girl had brain lesions and we had to let her go. Debbie was right there with me when I called beforehand, she called the vet for me, she spoke with me after and we cried together. We have been in contact frequently since. She is so warm and so genuine and- as our vet said when we started this journey- if anybody can help, no matter what the outcome, it's Debbie. I have been using her humane leadership approach with our other puppy and his behavior is just incredible. He was never poorly behaved to start, just a typical puppy....but her approach has him listening vs just going through the motions to get what he wants and our bond with him is stronger than ever. If you are in need of a behaviorist or someone to help with training, call them. It is 5000% worth the time and investment. More...

Thank you to Humane Domain for being so very patient with our class of Italian Greyhounds (and etc). Our agility class is very laid back and that enables our dogs (and Humans) to enjoy their time learning together.
We look forward to every class!

Taking class with Lindsay and consulting with Deb has given us the confidence to keep working through the daily challenges we've encountered with our rehomed labradoodle, Khaine. With Humane Domain in our corner, we're seeing progress toward making our home Khaine's forever home. He is already a beloved part of our family. Knowing that once you've worked with them you are clients for life is extraordinarily empowering. More...

For over 15 years, our family has benefitted from the advice and training methods taught by Deb Winkler and Lindsay at Humane Domain. We have participated in Puppy Kindergarten, and Basic Manners, as well as evaluations for introducing and integrating rescue pups into the mix. Deb is so knowledgeable and committed to building a trusting and loving relationship between humans and animals. All of the training techniques start with understanding the dog’s love for its person, motivations for different behaviors, and our ability to mold the behaviors with kindness. Included with the training is important health and safety advice. Her work with different therapy animals is pretty amazing, too! Our children’s love and kindness toward animals throughout their growing up, has been shaped by all the stuff we’ve learned, and as they go out into the world- they take that with them- Pretty cool! My parrot and my foster dog (now adopted by me) were having issues that were too challenging for me to remedy. I had already conducted a lot of research and conferred with a lot of professionals. I was afraid that Debbie was just going to tell me more of the same that I've already uncovered or already been told by others but that wasn't the case. A lot of what she had to say was refreshing and a real eye opener, things that I didn't know or hadn't even considered. Her advice was also personalized, which is very beneficial to each individual instead of a one size fits all approach. She was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. Supportive of both the animals AND me. If some advice didn't work or wasn't applicable for my household, Debbie listened and offered alternate ideas. My pets and I are very happy that we conferred with Debbie and I would recommend her to anyone else. More...
