Hound About Town is a small friendly company providing exclusive, professional pet care.I cover Ruislip, Ruislip Manor, Ruislip Gardens, Northwood, Northwood Hills, Eastcote and Pinner. I offer 1-2-1 dog walks, group walks and training /rehabilitation walks.
I know how important mental and physical stimulation is for your dog but I also know how hard it can be to fit this all in, whether you're a working professional, working shifts, a busy parent or you simply feel your dog needs a bit more than you can manage.
I provide dog walking either in small groups of no more than four dogs or solo walks where your dog is walked individually. Dogs are collected in our specially equipped van and driven to a variety of exciting locations including woodlands, forests, rolling country fields and parks.
I offer an individually tailored walk and train programme to help rehabilitate anxious or reactive dogs, or just to help to train your dog. I can help you to put the perfect foundations in place or give added support whilst you are at work. I combine this with personalised coaching walks with dog and owner so I can empower you with the skills to continue with your calm and confident canine.
This service is ideal for reactive, nervous dogs or rescue dogs as it gets them out and about in the world but they are also taught basic obedience exercises such as walking nicely on the lead, polite greetings and basic impulse control. This is also helpful for teaching puppies or adolescent dogs basic manners and good behaviour and halting any bad habits before they become more serious issues.
Other services I offer include: a wedding package and a training service. If you are interested in either of these please send a message.
I have a senior Yorkie named Milly who I was nervous about letting anybody else walk. She needs to be walked alone as she can only walk very slowly. I spoke to Alanna about this and told her Milly’s requirements, a very slow quite short walk where I wanted her to be able to sniff everything as it was more to get her out of the house than for exercise. Alanna was more than happy to help and having had a senior dog herself understood my worries. She put my mind at ease and sent me photos of their walks which was lovely! She was very accommodating regarding timings, she had a few different slots that she was able to walk Milly. All in all I was very pleased with the service and felt I could trust Alanna with my dog completely. Milly can no longer go on walks, Alanna gave me updates about how her hips were doing and was always cautious about over-walking Milly. If I ever get another dog I would use Hound About Town again, and would definitely recommend their services to anyone needing a dog walker. More...
