Sometimes we all need a little help with our dogs, and if you need help with force free training methods or even Bowen therapy for dogs that struggle with walking, or even simple tasks due to pain I cannot recommend Pennie enough!
She really listens to the animals and gives them the time and space to make choices, she's very good with people too!

Having used Pennie for several years for both horse & hound I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, quiet, patient & understanding to both horse & rider or hound & owner. My knowledge & ability as a rider & owner, of both horses & dogs, has improved no end under Pennie’s guidance. More...

I can't comment on the 'Horse' side of things, but Pennie's been HUGELY helpful to me with her hound expertise. She's patient & a good listener (to both dog owners & the dogs themselves) & approaches things from the dog's point of view, with the aim of helping everybody to live calm but fulfilling lives. Highly recommended. :)

I can not recommend Pennie highly enough. Her way of training is quiet calm & there are no gadgets or quick fixes. Pennie has helped me & my old horse helping to keep him ticking over in his old age & now helps me with my very quirky pony. She has helped both of us with confidence issues - always supporting & encouraging & bringing out the best in both of us. More...

Pennie is just amazing - I can’t thank her enough for her knowledge and understand of horses, she’s about giving you the correct path to follow to build on your relationship with your horse - no quick fixes it’s about having the foundations right to be able to build strong partnerships, be opportunistic in your riding and enjoy the experience - thank you Pennie for everything you’ve done for me and Alfie am sure he smiles when he sees you arrive on the yard xxx

Q&As

I love helping people to understand their dogs better. Dogs have a different perception to life than we do and it is important to understand that they don't always think and behave as we think they should.
I have lots of experience in studying dog behaviour and teaching people which helps with new puppies, rescue dogs and any problems that people feel they need to address.
I am also a canine Bowen therapist, and this helps me to advise people on wellbeing issues and to understand why pain might influence their dogs behaviour

I have always worked with animals and have always owned and shared my life with dogs. I am very passionate about creating environments where dogs can flourish, and really enjoy helping people to understand how to live with their dogs

I have many years of teaching experience and have studied dogs extensively and have a real passion for rescue dogs particularly greyhounds, lurchers and sighthounds. I also enjoy helping people to teach their dogs the life skills that will help everyone to enjoy their dogs

Services

Canine Bowen is a gentle hands on therapy for dogs and humans which can help with many canine issues including chronic pain, stiffness and can help relieve pain, tension and stress.
It is suitable for dogs and humans of all ages and can help in many kinds of stressful situations such as helping to relieve anxiety during firework season as well as other issues where dogs become fearful and worried.
It has also proved very useful as a preparation to events such as agility, flyball and sledding activities helping to prevent injuries and promote wellbeing before shows.
