Sometimes you get lucky, and I have to say this was the case when our startup was looking for an accountancy firm. With two sets of annual accounts now filed plus two years self assessment sorted Nigel and his team could not have been more responsive to any of our queries. The service is friendly fast, reasonably priced and of course accurate. Although we're not local, working remotely via email has never been a problem. Thoroughly recommended. More...

Excellent and efficient service for excellent value.


We prepare Accounts and Tax Returns for small businesses, give tax and VAT advice and operate a payroll service.
We also advise on book-keeping software whether that be cloud or desktop based

1. A good small business accountant will advise you on ways that you can save tax
2. They will ensure that you meet any deadlines and avoid penalties
3. Make sure that you stay compliant with the latest tax rules and avoid any nasty suprises if and when you get a tax enquiry.

The people I have met doing this job - you meet people from all walks of life, all ages and backgrounds and they are all different and unique.

I think the thing I love most is that now I have been doing this for over 15 years and many of my clients have become friends, I have grown my client base mainly through recommendations and so I now deal with many people that know each other or are family members of clients.

Initially I wanted to be my own boss, I hated the idea of having to be stuck in a 9-5 and even when I enjoyed my job it never feels like something that you really want to do.
Then once I started building up my client base I quickly realised that there were so many small businesses out there paying overpriced fees for very poor service simply because they either didnt know the alternative or were afraid of change, and ever since I have made it my goal to provide first class customer service for a reasonable price.

First of all, we treat every single client individually as they all have different methods of working and different needs. But we use the most modern methods to get your figures compiled so that we can provide the service you need at a low price compared to others.
Our first concern when we take on a client is that we want that person to be with us for many years to come, and for them to be so happy with our service that they will pass on our details to other contacts, that is where we have been successful.
From experience, pretty much every new client will save money by using us one way or another whether that be in tax or in paying less fees.
We always say a 10 minute phone call to us costs you nothing, we give our advice freely and if you like what you hear you can come and join us and if not thats fine too.
