Julie is theeeeee best!!! First of all, she has great ideas! I get stumped thinking of poses or what will look best, but Julie is prepared and ready to turn our messy family into a perfect picture! And Not ONLY do the pictures she take look amazing (despite any crazy faces I think I'm making) and have beautiful quality and lighting but she is just amazing with people! My 3 year old doesn't mind pictures but after 10 minutes she is over it.. Julie was able to make her giggle, play, and be genuinely excited for the rest of our family pictures! Speaking of children, she is even more amazing getting my husband to have fun and let loose so that he didn't even notice over an hour had gone by! Julie Harrell does an incredible job of capturing her subjects' personality and joy in each of the pictures she takes. She is so versatile in the age groups that she works with as well as the scenarios/locations. She has done my family photos, engagement photos and bridal portraits. Having a photographer that takes good pictures is incredibly important, but having a photographer that blends with you and your family so much that you feel comfortable with them is imperative to getting those perfect photos. Julie is just that, she is patient and happy and kind. She goes above and beyond. She is incredible with children and has the patience to capture that "one in a million" shot. Julie is such an amazing person and photographer! I've known julie for a long time, but my son's newborn photos recently were the first time I worked with her, and it was nothing less than spectacular! She kept every promise she made to me about how I wanted my son's photos done. She was so gentle and sweet while handling him, and so great at what she does! I won't lie, I hired Julie because she was running an amazing deal on newborn pictures. But when she showed up to my house and set up a huge flash umbrella I knew we were in for some great pictures. Julie recently took my daughter Makenzie's senior pictures. When I saw some of the pictures Julie took of my friend and her family, I knew she was the photographer I wanted. Julie is very friendly and accommodating. She knew the location we chose very well and was comfortable with setting up each shot. She made Makenzie feel beautiful and immediately put us both at ease. Makenzie wanted a few shots with her pup and Julie worked very hard to get a good picture of a dog that was going to do everything possible, except hold still. Julie is a professional and it's obvious that she loves her work. Whether you are welcoming a new baby, or sending your baby to college, I would recommend that Julie catch those memories. I have hired professional photographers on a few occasions and Julie was by far the most professional thus far. We booked an in-home, newborn shoot with Harrell House Photography for our, just over a week old baby boy. Julie suggested the best time to schedule the shoot, based on her vast experience working with newborns & she was able to capture every shot and then some in the three hour time slot. All of my questions and concerns were answered and addressed before I even had to bring them up. Julie covered everything in an informational message on how to prepare for the shoot which calmed my stress as a new mom, unsure of how my newborn was going to cooperate during a photo shoot. All props and gear were brought into our home & set up by Julie, the session went better than I could’ve imagined, and we now have the most beautiful photos of not only our new baby, but also some family shots that we will treasure in family photo albums forever.
