Fully qualified personal, private counselling & talking therapy ONLINE via secure, encrypted video call or secure email with Laura Harley BSc (Hons) Adv. Dip. Counselling MBACP
My name is Laura Harley. I'm a qualified, experienced personal counsellor and talking therapist working with adults on a one-to-one basis. I work with my clients on a number of presenting issues - for example, addiction, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, eating issues, codependency and relationship issues to name a few. I am an integrative therapist, which means that I don't believe that one theory can work for a client in all situations - I instead bring together several theories to work with my clients as individuals with unique needs.
I now work solely online - I have spent the last five years working with clients face-to-face on an individual and couples basis, however, I am now moving office locations and during this period I am only taking referrals from clients who are interested in working online via an encrypted, secure telemedicine portal. No log-in details are required and the service is entirely confidential. Better yet - online counselling can fit around your lifestyle, so if you're travelling for work, have an unusual work pattern or struggle to find childcare, this can fit into your routine seamlessly.
I work via secure, encrypted email - if an issue that you want to work on is too hard to talk about, or you are conscious that you might feel embarrassed to bring it to a face-to-face session, or if you prefer to write rather than talk, then email therapy could be for you. Blocks of therapeutic email responses are available - please do contact me for more information.
I specialise in relationship issues - be they with family members, friends, partners or spouses. I frequently work with clients around managing feelings and emotions - coping with a breakdown in communication, conflict and of course separation and divorce.
I'm an addiction and codependency specialist and find that many of the clients who come to me do so because they are looking for ways to resolve issues in the way that they are communicating with and relating to partners, family members or friends. This might include trust issues, infidelity, codependency, emotional abuse, overcoming childhood trauma or rejection.
I know that therapy can seem daunting. Particularly if it's something we haven't tried before. The reason that I became a counsellor was due to the life-changing positive transformation that I myself went through in my own counselling journey, and so you can be sure that any nervousness or trepidation that you might have about making contact is something that I empathise with.
My goal is to support you in achieving the understanding and awareness that you might seek in a supportive, non-judgemental and empathic way. I am here to work by your side while you make sense of the things that might confuse you right now, but to remind that you are not alone and that change is possible.
