First of all, when you walk in the door you are treated like a good friend. Everyone truly cares about making you the musician you want to be. I have been playing since I was 14. I am 50 and taking guitar lessons for the first time. In just 4 sessions my playing has progressed by leaps and bounds and I've never enjoyed playing more. They customize sessions for almost any instrument and any age. Kinda cool sitting in the lobby at 50 with my guitar, next to a 6 year old girl and her guitar. I dont want to be in a band, but if you do they will teach you everything you need to know from how to play an instrument to how to play with others. They actually set up gigs at local locations and put you and other students center stage to actually play in front of a crowd. Whether you are 50 and just want to shred some Metal in your livingroom, or 6 and want to be a drummer in a band, you are surrounded by fun friendly folks that want you to succeed just as much as you do. Go to Hammersmith.rock and join the family. You have a dream and they can make it come true. Friendly, fun and flexible. The instructors and the students are awesome. Hammersmith truly rocks. This program is awesome for teens. Carl is not just about music but socializing and teamwork. He gets them interested then keeps them wanting to learn more. My shy son has taken music lessons unsuccessfully from several other instructors but this one has him not only playing piano and guitar but singing on stage and practicing without reminders. This place is AMAZING! I'm 37 years old and have always wanted to learn the drums. In my first lesson, John Guffey had me grinning from ear to ear, playing along with him on guitar to AC/DC and Nirvana. My 6 year old son came along too and we can't stop talking about how much fun we had. So excited to continue practicing and taking lessons at Hammersmith Rock Institute. My daughter and I just toured this place. Really impressive. My daughter was blown away by how cool it was. (They have two stages. ) I was surprised at how open and bright the whole place is.
