He understands the importance of teaching good technique but he puts emphasis on injecting fun into the lesson whilst learning because without it you become a robot and not an artist.

At the age of nearly 40 with no musical experience (or talent), I decided to try to teach myself guitar. I made very slow progress which was very frustrating so I decided a tutor might be the way to go. Luckily I came across Gael, who has helped me immensely!

He was very patient and understanding and I particularly liked the fact he took time to understand my motivations for wanting to play the guitar, as this gave me some real direction. My overall understanding of how music is put together has also greatly increased and I never thought I would say that.

Whether you're a complete novice or experienced guitar player, I would highly recommend Gael, he has something to teach everyone. More...

Excellent teacher! From the first lesson I felt like I was learning, improving and understanding at a pace I was happy with. He explains everything very clearly and is happy to revisit points. Gael is an amazing teacher! I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a teacher that focuses on the fun of playing as well as the theory. Gael is a great teacher. He's really patient, encouraging, interesting and obviously quite talented too. He does have a more non-traditional approach to teaching/understanding the guitar and that was exactly what i was after. If you've felt frustrated before with guitar lessons then i urge you to try a lesson with Gael as it will really inspire you to learn more. I'll definitely be going back for more! More...
