Guided Walking Tours of Oxford

Four years ago on a visit to Oxford I was sitting in Jesus College Chapel (my former college, I have a Master of Arts (MA) degree in French from Oxford University), when a tour guide came in with a group of American visitors. I listened with interest and appreciation to what she was telling them. But I couldn't resist butting in to say that I'd enjoyed listening to her and that I was a former student...Well, the reaction from the American tourists was extraoridinary! Their focus immediately shifted to me as if I was some mythical and fascinating beast! We had a lovely chat about life as a student at Oxford before saying our goodbyes. It was at this moment that the seed of tour guiding was planted in my imagination. The rest was detail, so here I am now, informing, educating and entertaining visitors to this magical place.
