What makes a great website?
In today’s noisy market, companies need more than just a fancy website. A website needs to tell a story about who you are and how you are going to change your customers' lives with your product or service.
Staying on top of design trends and new technology, your website not only need to look good for your visitors. You also have to ensure a good user experience which includes how your content is written. In addition to this, the technology needs to stay current to avoid issues with load time or indexing.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
First and foremost, I want to know what are the goals and reasons for engaging with me. It's important for me to get to know my clients so I can anticipate their needs as well as provide honest advice and feedback as we work together on their marketing tactics.
Describe your creative process.
I have a very methodical process for uncovering my clients value proposition and how to best express that through design and content.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
First I'll usually set up a brief telephone call to go over what the client needs. Then I'll review their website and other current marketing materials to provide them with an analysis of their current marketing. All of this is totally free. I can provide a full SEO and website performance review as well as a review of their content and materials. After we are engaged, I have a questionnaire that helps me understand the objective and goals of my clients as well as more details about their company. From there I have a workshop which really gets deep about their value proposition and brand story. From this, I'm able to develop a marketing strategy and plan to execute.
What do you love most about your job?
With every new client, I get to learn something new about them, their unique value and it excites me to get to promote them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love working with new and interesting companies. Having my own business is my way getting to do something different every day.
