What do you love most about your job?
I love animals and you can trust me to provide a safe, comfortable, fun and healthy environment for your furry friend. Taking care of pets, especially dogs is a real pleasure to see the joy and excitement when walking them even when it’s wet and muddy!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’m Jess and I have a Labrador Retriever named Goldie (my inspiration for the business name!) Together, we formed a drug detection team working within the Private Security Industry. I loved working with my furry friend but being away for long periods of time took its toll, so I thought why not continue my professional experience and my love for animals around my home area by setting up Golden Paws!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a qualified NASDU Drug Detection Dog Handler and have learnt efficient handler skills, K9 First Aid and importantly, good animal welfare. I also have experience when assisting with utility warrant jobs as an Animal Control Officer, where I’ve met dogs of all different breeds and sizes. I’ve also built up a great client base and assisted in reining with some reactive dogs.
I am very active and have worked in many different environments from my previous 7 year career in the British Army so I am reliable to work come rain or shine.
