Have been using clipper street since they opened...the quality of the haircuts, together with the ambience and the positively unique characters that work there make it a great experience. It has got busier as its reputation has grown, thus making booking an appointment common sense. However, even if you do just walk in off the street, they will try to fit you in if they can or will arrange an appointment for you at another time. This is a proper barbers with intelligent conversation, banter and a relaxed professional atmosphere but best of all, a bloody good hair cut!

I like a "flat-top" which most other barbers (in this area, that I've tried ) won't attempt or can't do, Andy (the owner) not only takes a lot of time to get it perfect he cuts it so that it lasts longer.
Andy, Leigh and Dawn have all cut my teenage son's hair and he's been "well happy" which is quite an endorsement from a teenager!
It's a busy shop so I recommend phoning to make an appointment.
PS Fresh coffee... mmm! :)

First time here today and I was impressed.
Each work-station was clean and their tools were well looked after; we discussed this aspect and Joe was at pains to tell me that hygiene and cross-contamination was a significant part of the Proper-Barber's training.
The nice coffee and a varied chat about Winter Olympics, daft sports and being a petrol-head added to the experience.
Next time I shall go for a haircut and wash and I look forward to the experience!
100% well done.
