Highly recommend this service. Before day of removal they provided us with Wardrobe boxes which are so easy. The guys arrived on time and swiftly set about getting everything downstairs from our 2 bed flat. Provided extra boxes to put all remaining items into. We used these guys for a move from London to Wilts. For a start they were much more competitively priced than others. Recommended by a friend toowe decidedto go with them. Full pack and move of a 3bed house. The team were amazing. Packing day about x6 people all very cheerful and friendly. And efficient, labelling boxes according to our plan and making it all work.On delivery day similarly great experience. Everything reassembled correctly in right rooms. Very fast sorted by lunchtime. What a outstanding company! Gentleman & A Van moved us from south London to Wiltshire over two days, and it could not have gone more smoothly. The team of six guys were so polite and helpful, and looked after our things with the greatest care. They arrived exactly on time both days and barely stopped to catch their breath until the work was done. It's rare that anyone feels like they have had great service and value for money in London (I'm not complaining, I'm from London- but that's how it is) as all too often the costs go up and the quality of service goes down. I came across 'Gentleman and a Van' by chance, just by passing one of their vans in the street and taking down their number, and used them on the off chance that they would be ok. Fingers crossed...It turned out that they were far better than ok: they confirmed everything ahead of time, arrived on time, delivered on time (with no time wasting or excuses) and charged no more than they said, and with no surprises. Clearing our house was up there with Hercules’ task of clearing the Augean stables. Not only was there a near infinite amount of cr*p, some of it had to be moved to a different house, some of it had to stay in the house unpacked and the rest (a lot) had to be wrapped in situ to withstand a top to bottom renovation. Hercules thought he was beaten by lunchtime. Dan, Vinny, Kyle, Anthony, Magic and Peter on the other hand were well over half way through. Gentleman & A Van are the BEST removal company in London and I would argue at least Top 5 in the UK. I have been a satisifed customer for three years. They are highly competent, communicate swiftly, honest, transparent and fair in their pricing. My girlfriend had to move in 2015 and we needed to place all of the items into storage. G&V took care of everything. Two chaps in smart uniforms had moved all the boxes to their van within half and hour without issue. They then took everything to storage where it remained until recently. I could visit anytime and check the storage and tidy through over the past few years. Nothing was ever a problem. For example the company expanded and had to move their entire operation including storage (!) to larger premises and this was taken care of without any complication or cost to me. The monthly storage payment was automatic and very easy to manage. The ladies in reception were always genuine, smiling and friendly in person or via email/telephone.When we finally had to have the boxes and storage delivered for my girlfriend it was all taken care of effortlessly. The two very efficient fellows arrived at her apartment in perfect time and brought everything up to the fourth floor apartment within 40mins or less. They were perfectly friendly but most professional and did their work without fuss at all times which frankly is important for a young woman and appreciated.So do not even consider anywhere else. Amazing Service, they made our move so painless. Booking was really simple, even though we had to move the date around a few times there was no issue. They guys that did the removal were just great. We moved from a 3rd floor flat (no lift) to a 3rd floor flat (no left), so a really rubbish job and all day they were so helpful, never a complaint. Two words - brilliant removals! We moved from a 2 bed flat in Chiswick to a 4 bed, 3 storey house near Twickenham and the team were absolutely superb. Highly professional, friendly, efficient and really thoughtful, to the point that they laid plastic wrapping on all 3 storeys of carpet so as not to dirty it! I recently used Gentleman & A Van to move my items from Southfields to student accommodation in Vauxhall. The guys worked so quickly and were so polite and careful with my boxes! They even accommodated me to go in the van with them to the new flat. They waited patiently for me to check in and look at my new room before delivering my items, putting my kitchen boxes in the kitchen and bathroom things in the bathroom so I wouldn't have to move anything heavy.
