We wanted to have a photographer come to our family reunion & take pictures of everyone. I called many photographers in the area and was feeling frustrated until speaking with Gary. He spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with me just discussing our event. He was very polite & personable. He did not require that we meet in person or sign a contract the way many others did and he was up front with his session fee. So, after scheduling he stayed in touch the weeks prior to our reunion. He asked the names of everyone & ages of all the kids. On the big day he & his assistant took wonderful group & family photos of everyone. He knew people's names & made everyone feel comfortable & at ease. He was very patient with all twelve of the little kids through all the tantrums & melt downs, lol. He was also very accommodating when five additional members of the family showed up and he fit them into the group. Afterwards he stayed in contact via text, phone calls & email. He was available for questions as well as keeping everyone informed of prices & ordering deadlines. After we placed our order he emailed us the digitals and mailed a disc as well as prints. He even hand delivered a canvas we ordered as a gift for my mother-in-law. He made sure everyone was happy with their photos & offered to do reprints if anyone was dissatisfied. I called Gary to get some headshots of me and my staff for our updated company website. Gary was a great choice. He was able to capture a series of serious, traditional shots along with some more casual ones that show the fun side of my office. I now have a wide variety of photographs for lots of different occasions. Gary likes to get the picture right in the camera so once we picked out the ones we liked, there was very little touch-up. I called Gary Hammond for some headshots for my business website. I was thinking just one or two for each person. After letting him know what I wanted, he offered to do some studio shots with the neutral background but also offered to visit my office for some more casual photos. Gary made getting the shots done easy. He didn't rush me off. Instead, he took the time to get multiple shots of me and my staff to be certain we'd be happy. He was also very obliging with wardrobe changes. Gary liked to say that he did a lot of the work "in the camera." Once we got the first proofs, I saw what he meant. Once we identified the photos we liked, they didn't need much touch-up. Since he was willing to do both studio and office photos, I have a much larger portfolio to choose from when I need to provide a photo to an advertiser or place on my website. With grown children and grandchildren, some of whom aren't local, it's not often we're together to take advantage of a family portrait. Â "Mom" finally prevailed. Â Due to time of year and family factors, such as two toddlers and a teen special needs grandson, we decided to take the photos at home. Â First, I was impressed that Gary made an appointment to come to our home to determine a suitable location. Â But not only that, he sat down with me and took down everyone's name and how they were related. On the day of the shoot, Gary greeted everyone by name -- two adult children, their spouses and eight grandkids. Â I was impressed. Â Then the fun began. Â The two toddlers decided to have a joint meltdown. Â We took the large family portrait, then smaller groups. Â When Gary left I thought we'd be lucky to see one or two "reasonable" photos to choose from where everyone looked good. Â Was I wrong! Â In spite of squirming, squealing girls, and the teen special-needs grandson who is challenging to get to look at the camera, we ended up with excellent results from which to choose. Gary Hammond photography takes all our company photos for Advanced Construction and Design. Â Gary takes my "before and atter " photos of the kitchen and bath remodels we do. These are sometimes quite difficult to execute well. Gary with his knowledge of photography and lighting techniques Always comes through for us. He is not only talented but affordable, prompt and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend him to realtors for their home photos and anyone with personal photography needs! More...

Despite my son being a surly 17-year old who hates having his picture taken, Gary was able to get him to look natural, feel comfortable, and take some fabulous shots. Â We ended up with so many fantastic pictures, we have had a difficult time choosing final selections. Â Gary is reasonable, professional, and easy to work with.
