The concept in itself is excellent for non-gardeners like me. However, what really impressed me was the customer service. I had several telephone conversations with the company before I placed my order and my questions were answered fully . When the order arrived, there were a couple of plants that were looking a little bedraggled. After one phone call to the company, these were replaced immediately. We ordered an easy care evergreen border and have to say we have been really impressed. The plants we received (around 30) were very healthy and established quickly once planted in mid-May. In the space of under just over 3 months the border is looking great with some of the plants touching 6 feet high already. Would definitely recommend to anyone like us has minimal knowledge of plants and is looking for a quick and easy way to fill a border. More...

Had the plants since April and on the whole I am extremely satisfied with the border, it currently looks great however I have a couple of minor issues firstly amongst the plants delivered was a Cyclamen which died within around 4 weeks but I don’t miss it and the border looks ok without it I also would question The positioning of some of the shrubs as they seem to be being overgrown by some of the others close by but again on the whole it looks great

Used this for a new border in a refurbished garden. We have no idea what plants are suitable for where. Entered the details requested and a box arrived on the date promised. Plants well packed and in great condition. Box included a trowel, gloves, plant feed and clear instructions. A 1m x5m border planted by two of us within a couple of hours. Very good service, plants arrived in good condition. Slightly disappointing when they flowered as there wasn’t much variety in colours but they grew very quickly so that made up for it. Overall very pleased.

Fab idea for a novice gardener like myself. I had completely stripped the garden in our new house back to bare earth so wanted a quick and easy solution to a long empty border. Garden on a roll really is gardening for dummies which has given me a professionally designed garden border at a fraction of the price. Only quibble is I had read of people getting initial phone calls to acknowledge the order and to provide post sales advice to check the product is correct etc but had none of this and wasn't even convinced the order would arrive until I received despatch notification on the day. Anyway it looks fab already so I can't wait to see it in a few months once it's a bit better established More...

Our girl guiding unit built raised beds at the Scout and Guide hut to tidy up an unusable space. We needed a low maintenance garden so chose an evergreen border. There is no doubt that Garden on a Roll gives you a pretty instant lovely border even in the same year as planting. It is just so easy. Plants are good quality but I’d have to leave it a few years to see whether there is enough diversity in the selection as the border matures. Great service, we had a plant that the dog dug up and ruined, I called to source another the same and they replaced it free of charge, they did not need to do that.
