Furry Dogmothers is my own small business, focussing on one-on-one tailored dog walking, feeding, day visits, and live in pet sitting. I work with a variety of different pets but dogs are my speciality and my passion. I only ever walk a maximum of 2 dogs (from the same household) at any one time, so as to always maintain control of any situations that may arise, also allowing me to give the dogs in my charge maximum attention and care.

What do you love most about your job?
The anImals! I love getting to know and work with all the different pets I encounter through my work, getting to know their different personalities. I also love being able to help people like myself who’s pets are their world or have specific needs that my training and 4 years experience working in this sector have prepared me for. I’m truly passionate about pet care and helping pet owners, as well as the pets themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My dad is a vet and so I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and of course, grew to have a real fondness and affinity with them. We’ve always rescued animals at home, a process i find really fulfilling and life affirming, and in 2012 we took into the family a very disabled Jack Russell terrier. he settled in in no time, but we hated having to put the little guy in kennels when we went away, so I decided to find a way to help other similar pet owners who feel their pets could benefit from one-on-one care whilst they’re out, working, away or on holiday. And so my live in pet sitting and dog walking business was born!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am of course fully qualified with a professional diploma in pet care, but most importantly I have a real love for animals and am truly passionate about what I do in providing the best one-on-one care to any animal in my charge. On top of that, my dad is a vet so if there were to be any problems at any time, I have him on speed dial and I know that I can turn to him for the best advice in an emergency situation.
