What an amazing party!!!So i'm really not one to write reviews but having just held my girlfriends surprise party at The Fox & Hounds i had to write something. It all started about a month prior where i contacted them to see if they had space for up to 25 people, having visited previously for a Sunday lunch i had hoped they could accommodate and boy did they. Bianca & James talked me through both seating and table arrangements in the homely and cosy function room with all the character and class you would expect from a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. The menu selections and service planned out well in advance so all i had to do was ensure i turned up on time with my girlfriend and not spill the beans. So the day arrived and not only was the room set up perfectly they had also kindly taken delivery of a special cake delivery i had arranged earlier in the day, no detail missed thats for sure.The night went off without a hitch and the food, wow the food! To say i love James cooking is an understatement and his crab tacos are perfect party food. The whole group of 25 plus a few little people were treated like family and i will be definitely be back to have another event/party although may be difficult to keep the surprise next time. More...

Had a lovely lunch for 2 at the Fox & Hounds yesterday (Sunday 20 October 2019) - great food, with a good range from traditional Sunday lunch to proper 'fine-dining'. Relaxed atmosphere in simple but tasteful surroundings, and excellent / friendly service from Sharon. All very reasonably priced considering the quality too. The food is AMAZING!! My partner and I stumbled across this gorgeous venue earlier today and I simply cannot fault it. He had the pork & venison terrine and I had the goat's cheese & walnut salad to start. Then the chateaubriand for our main, then cheesecake and fig & almond tart. Absolutely superb.
