Had the most amazing 5 weeks training with this team and will miss them all. Fantastic training at a brilliant place with staff that are friendly professional and have more knowledge about grooming than I will ever have. I did a lot of research before undertaking a grooming course and I definitely made the right choice to travel to Four Paws for training. I have recently completed the level 3 diploma at "Four Paws Grooming School" . I can honestly say I had the most Amazing experience. I recently completed my Diploma on a Fast Track Course. I can’t recommend Four Paws highly enough, I learned so much and had a fantastic time. Everyone is really friendly and the standard of the training is great. Because I have been grooming for a little while I was initially worried that I would feel uncomfortable asking questions that I felt I should know the answer to but Sarah made me feel so comfortable and never made me feel silly for not knowing things. I really didn't know what to expect when I started my 25 day course but it was the best 5 weeks I could have asked for! It was hands on from day 1 and over the weeks I felt my confidence grow. It was great to be able to work with dogs that were well behaved and those that were more challenging; you don't just learn how to groom a dog, you learn how to read their behaviour and what to do in different situations. I was able to get experience with over 20 different breeds, which was brilliant as I finished feeling ready to start my new career. I brought Micky my terrier cross to Four Paws to be hand stripped and bathed. Being a rescue dog I don’t think he’s ever had this luxury! He came out full of beans and as soft and fluffy as a teddy bear! I could tell he had thoroughly enjoyed his time at groom school and was well looked after all day. I completed the Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming in November 2017.

Staff were warm and welcoming - from receptionists, to day care staff, tutors and directors, all made me feel welcome and at ease from the start.

Learning sessions were delivered professionally with a wide range of models which covered a huge number of breeds in different trims, including breed standard and pet trim styles.

The learning environment was always clean and bright, with good equipment.

I received helpful business advice too.

I continue to receive help and advice from my tutor, if I'm ever stuck on a specific breed or issue with customers, or hiccups with the business side of things too.

As part of the diploma, I completed the Canine First Aid course, which was well very delivered and included hands on practice on live models. I hope never to need to use my new found set of Canine First Aid Skills, but feel comfortable and competant should any of my customers fall ill whilst in my care.

All in all, I'd recommend Four Paws Groom school to anyone wishing to start out on their dog grooming journey. It's the perfect place to start. More...

I have just completed my 25 day Diploma in Dog Grooming with Four Paws and loved every minute of it. It was hands on from day one with one, sometimes two dogs a day per student. You get to experience an amazing variety of breeds and groom styles. Tutors, Sarah and Sian are very knowledgeable in their field and go over and beyond to help you reach your potential and feel confident in yourself. I recently attended a learn to groom your own dog which is a 1 day course with four paws.
I absolutely loved every minute. I felt so welcome and any questions I asked were answered. I have learnt so much and can’t thank you enough. I now have new skills that will be with me forever. I have the confidence to groom both of my dogs. I know that if I ever have any questions all I have to do is ask. I completed the 25 day Level 3 Diploma with Four Paws...as a complete beginner I was so nervous but all of the staff and the tutors soon make you feel welcome and put you at ease � I groomed many breeds of beautiful dogs while I was there which gave me a great insight to my future career and built my confidence up from something I initially knew nothing about! I have just finished 5 glorious weeks at Four Paws Groom School. The weeks have flown and I have enjoyed my time at the school with the variety of dogs to groom - and the two fabulous coaches, Sarah and Sian. I recently completed the 25 day course and Level 3 Diploma. I loved every minute of it. I knew I wanted to do dog grooming as a career but had very little confidence in my ability. With the help and patience of Sarah and Sian I managed to achieve my dream. I have set up my own grooming salon at home and in my first month have had over 20 dogs - and lots of happy owners. I am delighted!

I would never have been able to believe I could do this and its down to Four Paws training and ongoing support. I was given the opportunity to groom a wide variety of dogs. Sarah and Sian are excellent groomers with high standards. The course work supports the learning in a practical way. The canine first aid course was an informative and worthwhile part of this.

I would thoroughly recommend Four Paws training to anyone considering dog grooming as a profession - you wont be disappointed. More...

Four Paws is a professional service dedicated to the welfare of fur babies. I am undertaking a course within the Grooming School; I can highly recommend the course to anyone who is thinking of a one day, short course or to those who are looking for a career change. The learning environment is excellent and has great facilities. Each day has passed so quickly (while in the groom school) with hands on learning that has been first and foremost ensured the welfare of dogs. I have to mention the Tutor Sarah who has such a great ability and calmness to ensure that all dogs who leave the groom school are of a very high quality, leaving me (students) feeling a great sense of achievement. Sarah puts you at ease, she is able to blend the right balance between theory & practice. There has to be a special thank you to the models (and owners) who have participated in the school, they have all been great in terms of lovely personalities and breed subjects. The staff at Four Paws have all been very friendly, encouraging and kind (the cups of tea have been fab!) This course for me has been life changing. 6 stars would be more fitting for this review but thats not possible. I recently Completed the advanced course, after winning the first week in a competition at crufts, I was that impressed with the level of training that I knew it would be beneficial to extend my training. Prior to this course I had completed a level 3 training course at a college, however this really does not compare to four paws standards. I have learned so many invaluable skills that I just wouldn't be able to know from just picking up a book, or from a basic course, you definitely get what you pay for !Sarah the course tutor is amazing at transferring her knowledge and skills to the class room, she is genuinely interested in helping you learn, shes calm and patient and keeps you focused.
