JACOB IS PHENOMENAL. Jacob was our photographer back in May (19) and he was just amazing. From the very beginning, Jacob made us feel like friends and was completely on the same page as us. His photos are just stunning and second to none, we cannot recommend him enough. Whats great about Jacob, is not only he super talented, but he is friendly, attentive and professional. He just knows what he is doing, makes you feel at ease and brings out the best of you, even during the more tricky photos, but they are always worth it. Boy does he deliver. We hired Jacob as our wedding photographer back in Oct-18. As soon as we met, we decided that Jacob was the photographer for us. Jacob travelled to our house for the initial meet & he has such a bubbly personality it felt like we had known him for years. We instantly felt comfortable.The images that we received of our wedding were amazing and there were so many of them (over 1,500!). Jacob is a fantastic photographer! He is both completely professional and warm and fun, getting on so well with us and all of our family and friends. The photos of our wedding are outstanding and he captured all of the most precious moments and details that we didn’t get to see ourselves. Jacob went above and beyond, visiting our venues even before he came to see us early in the morning as we were getting ready.The edited photos arrived quickly as did our album once we had chosen our favourites. The album is absolutely stunning and of such high quality.I’ve noticed with other wedding photographers that, although the wedding looked beautiful, the emotion and feel of the wedding isn’t reflected in the photos. You will not find a kinder, more passionate, hard working and skilled photographer than Jacob.From the initial enquiry until the completion of our album, Jacob was an absolute joy to work with. .. So warm, patient and just full of enthusiasm! What can I say, other than Jacob is amazing. I fell in love with his ability to capture golden light alongside beautiful couples and hoped he could achieve the same for us. He definitely managed that and more! From our first meeting to saying goodbye long after the crazy dance moves started, Jacob made us feel like our wedding was of the upmost importance. He captured our day beautifully, taking not only beautiful photos of us but of our guests enjoying the day and private moments of tenderness. I just want to say that if any of you brides and grooms to be are looking for a kind, humble and professional wedding photographer then Jacob Malinski is who you want to capture those special moments on your big day. He doesn’t just capture perfectly crafted natural photos of the day but Jacob takes that extra time to make sure you are comfortable with him by arranging a pre wedding photo shoot and I have to say it made things feel very natural and easy. We met with Jacob after our wedding venue recommended him so highly, and we’re so glad they did! Within minutes of meeting him it was clear that he was a perfect fit for us. He is kind, funny yet very professional. After seeing some of his work we were blown away, the way he uses light is amazing and the pictures are stunning.

On the day of our wedding he was amazing! He worked so hard and was a pleasure to have around. Many of our guests commented on what a nice guys he is! We braved the weather to get the portrait shots outside and he timed it well and worked quickly but it allowed me and my husband some time alone together which was great! He stayed until late and didn’t stop all day.

After the big day we received our slideshow and online shots in good time, it was emotional seeing how fantastic all the photos are. We cannot wait to receive our album but the pictures and other special touches sent to us have gone above and beyond our expectations.

We found Jacob by looking through our venues wedding album and also searching online, we got in touch with Jacob quite far in advance as I knew by his pictures he had to be our photographer. From the moment we met Jacob, we knew he was perfect! He instantly put us at ease and knew exactly what we were after.
Our engagement shoot came round and we were so nervous due to us not being “photo” people, he made it so much fun and completely settled our nerves, it was the perfect little taster of what to expect on our wedding day.
The big day itself, Jacob arrived and immediately made me feel calm, he was extremely professional, helpful and most importantly friendly! All our guests loved him and we had many comments on how at ease he put people, at points you would never have known he was there. Jacob took us away for some evening photos and we are so pleased he did, not only did it give us a bit of “us” time we got the most beautiful pictures.

i'm writing this review before receiving our wedding photos because i have every confidence they will be amazing. We found Jacob through friends who had booked him with their upcoming day - after looking on his website i was certain that we needed to have him for our wedding and booked him! At our friends wedding we were able to see first hand how amazing he was - so gave us 100% confidence (not that we needed any, because once you meet Jacob for the first time you will know that he is such a genuine, lovely guy!).
I was looking around at photographers for a few weeks previously - and actually couldn't quite believe Jacob's price compared to others. Jacob should be charging thousands and thousands for his incredible work - i've seen other wedding photographers who capture nothing near what he does and are double the price. You can't quite put a price on Jacob's work really..... what he captures is just amazing.
Jacob did our "engagement shoot" back in July 2017 and the photos were incredible. He then did our wedding day on Friday 23rd Feb 2018. He was a pleasure to have around - he's more than just a photographer/supplier to us now. He's so genuine and lovely - and makes you feel at ease (as well as makes you laugh). I feel its important to find a photographer you can have a good relationship with - because after all they are the ones that capture your day and spend the most time with you!
What i love most about his work is that he tells the story through photos. No photos are staged (unless thats what you want) and everything is so natural. On your wedding day its important to have time alone as bride and groom and Jacob ensures this during photo time. Our wedding was the 6th wedding in our family to use Jacob as the photographer, so we had already seen how amazing his photography is! So much so, we even booked him before we booked our venue. The unique thing we love about Jacob's style and approach is he really captures personal moments and people's natural emotions.

Neither of us are used to being the centre of attention and therefore the idea of having lots of photos taken of us was a bit daunting. One of the great things about Jacob's photography package is it includes an additional photo shoot before the wedding. This really helped us to get to know Jacob and feel natural and comfortable, and be ourselves in front of the camera.

On the wedding day, he really went the extra mile, staying for the entire day and making sure all the special moments were captured, as well as looking out for the best lighting and locations for our couple photo's which are really special to us.

Jacob was recommended to us by a friend and after checking out his work online we decided to get in touch. His photos all seemed natural and interesting and were the first ones we saw that we could really imagine as our wedding. He's a really easy going, friendly guy and we liked him straight away.
We were dreading the engagement session a bit, we can be pretty awkward about photos and had trouble taking it all seriously but despite us messing about Jacob came back with loads great shots. He was super relaxed and accommodating, and even pushed our 1 year old daughter around in her pushchair during the session so we just focus on ourselves.
The wedding day was no different. Jacob got on with minimal interference from us, and just seemed to be everywhere we needed him to be. He really used the venue, weather and light to their best. He also caught so many touching moments between us and our guests which we never realised had been photographed until we got the images back. Completely unobtrusive but apparently always present! I really feel like the entire day was captured perfectly, even the craziness in the evening!

We had the best time on our engagement shoot! Jacob was recommended to us by a friend as he had taken their wedding photos. We were a little nervous about having to take photos but Jacob really put us at ease. We travelled to Scotland to meet him for an amazing shoot in Isle of Skye. He had researched the whole area and even hiked the places he wanted to shoot the day before we arrived. As we expected we were a little awkward to start but Jacob helped us and we ended up laughing and enjoying every second of the day. Jacob was simply amazing, and we cannot thank him enough for his talent and and wonderful service!
We found him on the suggested supplier list from our venue, and loved his style of photography so got in contact. He came and visited us at our home, and showed us albums, and it was lovely to just have a chat and get to know him. The pre-wedding shoot was something that we were unsure about before going as neither of us have ever had proper photos taken, and don't feel that easy in front of the camera, but it turned out to be fantastic! Jacob put us so at ease, and it was just a lovely experience, that definitely made us more comfortable on the wedding day. On the big day Jacob was there practically from start til finish, and the photos are everything we hoped for. We actually first met Jacob at our friends' wedding, and were really impressed by the pictures.

From the first meeting through to the day itself, Jacob put us at ease and took time to get to know us. What we really wanted was natural photos, and he really achieved some amazing results with natural light and a great eye for capturing special moments.

Jacob was also very subtle when taking pictures and was happy to take the lead from us. But was also super efficient & organised for all the family & friends group shots. We felt in safe hands.

At the end of the evening, our family and friends were surprised to find out that we hadn't known Jacob for very long, as he was so approachable with everyone that he seemed like another guest. The fact he'd made the effort to meet us prior to the wedding (both to show us some albums and for some relaxed engagement shots) really helped us get to know Jacob and feel comfortable in his company.

After the wedding, we were given a slideshow of the main pictures as soon as they were ready, and soon after that came the whole collection of pictures - organised into folders that were easy to access and navigate. The process of choosing our favourites for the album couldn't have been more straightforward.

When you arrive at your venue on your wedding day and your photographer opens the door to welcome you and gives you a big hug, you know you have someone special! ! Jacob was amazing from the first time we met him over coffee, all the way through to post wedding photo editing and album creation. Jacob is warm, funny, passionate and easy going which were all the traits that we wanted for our day. Jacob spent the whole morning, afternoon and evening taking thousands of photos of our special day capturing every moment leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime. Jacob is a great guy, very relaxed and allows you to get on with the day and not worry what photos he is taking he covers absolutely everything. We received a USB of our day and a beautiful top of the range album which we would highly recommend paying the extra amount for it is definitely worth it. If you're wondering whether to book Jacob then we would highly recommend that you do and if you have booked him and wonder whether he has taken 'that' photo don't worry he will have done so plus plenty more besides. Jacob was so much more than a photographer. It felt as if he was a real part of our day from start to finish, and he captured so many moments and memories, all so naturally, unobtrusively and beautifully.

We got married in April this year, and had found Jacob via recommendation about 18 months beforehand. From the moment we met him and discussed our day (over a coffee!), we felt utterly at ease and had total trust that he was the right wedding photographer with us.

On the day of our wedding, Jacob started the morning with me and my bridesmaids. It felt so natural to have him with us, and he made us feel all so at ease - and captured some very funny, natural and lovely moments! I think that is Jacob's biggest skill - that he learns about you and your partner, family and wedding party, understands how you work and feel, and cares about - and is a part of - your whole day.

Jacob didn't leave til way into the night, getting some ridiculous shots of us all on the dancefloor. Looking through the digital gallery of photos a few weeks after the wedding was such a joy, and felt like we were reliving the whole day. We got our album recently and it is beautifully produced and something we will treasure.

I would not hesitate to recommend Jacob. We both really enjoyed getting to know him, and feel very lucky that he was the photographer we shared our day with.

We were lucky enough to have Jacob as the photographer for our wedding at the South Lodge in August of this year and couldn't be happier with the results. We had a great engagement shoot with Jacob earlier in the year and we loved the photos. He arrived early and set about his craft doing everything from taking shots of us getting ready (including stealing my shoes and the Bride's dress for a short period to get arty as well as hiding in a wardrobe to get candid shots) through to arranging the group shots and showing the patience of a saint whilst trying to herd the cats that are our relatives. The posed photos were beautiful as we knew they would be but the nice surprise was the quality of his candid and journalistic shots. The man is part Ninja with his ability to pass unnoticed through the milling crowd and bustling wedding breakfast. Our venue highly recommended Jacob at Foto Memories for our big day and we were so glad that they did! Jacob did a fantastic job and we were extremely happy with the 1000+ photos he took throughout the day! From the moment he arrived we knew we had chosen the right photographer. He struck just the right balance between posed photos and reportage style shots and a lot of the time you really wouldn't know he was there. We cannot thank Jacob enough for everything he did for us, and could not be happier with our photos. From the moment we met him, we felt relaxed in his company and knew we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. He has such a kind, friendly and calming persona, and the natural way in which he works was exactly what we were looking for. The pre-wedding shoot was a wonderful way to get to know him, and, having never been photographed professionally before, completely put us at ease for the big day. He took some beautiful photos in a location that is so special to us, and we treasure the photos from that day along with our wedding photos. Jacob manages to capture such special moments, without being at all intrusive or asking for any awkward poses! He went above and beyond on our wedding day, not only managing to capture the day perfectly, all the way down to the little details, without us really noticing his presence, but also keeping us to time and making sure we took time out to have some time together just the two of us. Our photos are the perfect record of our day, so many moments and emotions beautifully recorded. Choosing the photos for our wedding album was a hard task, there are just so many that we love, and Jacob was so patient with us, and allowed us to take the time we needed.
