I generally judge developers on three main criteria. 1) Bringing the creative to fruition and enhancing the UX with useful insight where possible 2) Technical excellence across the board and 3) The ability to act swiftly and collaboratively when the inevitable unforeseen issues/conflicts/client generally breaking everything occurs.
