Fog city, Mike and his Djs do an excellent job at each wedding with have with them! Mike and his team are incredibly organized and professional, and made every effort to make sure all of the details were recorded and isync with us prior to the weddings. Their DJs are always friendly, professional and very responsive to the couple's needs on the day of.  I truly believe that a DJ makes or kills a wedding.... and guests always enjoy them! I'm an event planner and hired Mike S. at Fog City to design the lighting for a top shelf Bat Mitzvah party! He was amazing! He visited the venue 2 times before the event, did everything we wanted and more. His equipment is as good as it gets. He knows his craft well. Mike is a delight to work with and timely getting back with emails. He was stayed during the party to make sure everything was good and nothing needed his attention. I found Fog City and Mike S as a referral from out caterer/florist/coordinator Culinary Excellence and I could not have been more pleased. Mike was awesome and even though we never went over anything (except sending them my song choices), everything went incredibly smooth. Mike was great as an MC and a DJ and a bit of a coordinator, keeping us on schedule since I literally never knew what time it was the whole wedding. We did the DJ/ Photobooth package which was great and people loved the photobooth. It was nice and bright with better photo quality than I had seen others have so I was happy. I would also highly recommend them if you have very specific music you want played. I'm 99% sure that Fog City didn't have 85% of the songs we wanted. We had a Disney-esque wedding with the music for disneyland park playing during cocktail hour and the jazz versions of songs from the Carthay restaurant as our dinner music and I walked down the aisle to a song that was never released and only on Youtube but they found them all and they were all the correct versions. We had Mike as our DJ for our wedding at Dunsmuir Hellman Estate and he was amazing!  We got so many comments from our friends and family afterwards about how awesome the DJ and music was; Mike kept the dance floor going nonstop from the first dance to the last!  He also did a great job setting up for the outdoor ceremony and figuring out microphones for my uncle to play guitar and sing as well as for our officiant.  We most definitely recommend Mike and Fog City for any DJ needs. Mike DJ'ed our wedding a couple weeks ago and he and Fog City are so wonderful on so many levels.  First, we were able to book our DJ, photobooth, and wedding planner in one package (all through Mike), which made things much easier on the planning end.  I'm not sure if he always offers this type of package, but if it's still available by the time you read this, you should consider it!  It's always nice to work with vendors who know each other and are comfortable working together.  I was really happy with our decision to book all of these services through Mike.Second, Mike is super organized and has developed various tools to help him gather all the information he needs to MC and DJ a couple's wedding.  I really liked how he expanded upon our dinner playlist and selected music for dancing that was in line with our overall taste.  Several of our family and friends commented both on how lovely the dinner music was - specifically how it contributed to the overall ambiance of the event - and on the great selection of dance tunes.  Mike was just fun!  He knew how to read the crowd and he played some songs that I have never heard at a wedding before - and that's exactly what we wanted!  Third, Mike helped us to incorporate a couple of live musical acts - a horn trio for the ceremony led by my husband's cousin and my husband's dad for the reception, who sang and played our first dance on guitar.  The inclusion of live music was very important to us, and the transitions between live music and DJ'ed music were all seamless, thanks to Mike.  Well done!Finally, Mike is kind, humble, and a seasoned professional.  I can't tell you how many weddings I have been to where the DJ seams completely uninterested in reading the crowd and turns a couple's wedding night into his/her own personal musical journey.  I respect an artist, I really do, but wedding music should focus on genres, artists, and songs that the couple and their guests enjoy!  Mike really delivered to us a perfect evening - start to finish - and we are so grateful for that!   I would HIGHLY recommend Mike - you will not regret putting this stand-up guy on your wedding team! The entertainment is what we expected and a good value for what we paid for the DJ could've used some work when it comes to keeping a crowd on the floor but the music was good and I felt that he did a good job and would recommend them possibly I would choose a different venue for the next party I do.

Mike from Fog City was the DJ and MC for our wedding at La Costanera, and he was perfect. Great selection of music, super easy to give him additional music that we wanted (e. g. a friend of ours plays jazz and we wanted his music for our cocktail hour, but he wouldn't be in any music databases anywhere), great voice and temperament for making announcements to move people through the event (not cheesy, clear and friendly), and kept everyone dancing for hours!  He even did the music for our ceremony, and did a beautiful job cutting together and pacing the songs we wanted.   Mike helped our event run smoothly and made it all the more memorable, I can't recommend him enough! My husband and I had Mike as our DJ for our wedding last week and we were very pleased and impressed!  The use of the online client portal to organize all the songs and hosting was so convenient and easy to use.  There's also a very large catalog of songs to already choose from, and it was nice to browse the top songs to get some ideas for our own event.  I ended up sending over some songs to him personally that weren't included and we just used Dropbox so that was super easy too!  Mike was incredibly responsive by email, which is helpful when you are busy planning a million of other things for a wedding.  Our wedding ended up having day-of last minute changes and I emailed Mike several hours before the wedding to check if he could play some additional songs and he was super accommodating and very flexible to these changes!  He helped make the last minute change seamless and not a big deal at all-- which is tremendously helpful for any anxious bride!I highly recommend Fog City Entertainment, specifically Mike.  He was great with our guests, played requests, announced events during the ceremony as scheduled and when asked no problem.  Thank you!!! We booked Fog City Entertainment for our wedding. We purchased a DJ + Day of Coordination package and loved it!The DJ was fantastic. He played exactly the music we wanted to hear before we even knew we wanted to hear it. He did an amazing job not only keeping his finger on the pulse of the group, but satisfying us, the bride and groom, with our requests. At our behest, he played disco, gypsy jazz, be-bop, hard bop, hip hop, and house music. In addition, he MC'd the event and did a great job signaling and announcing to the guests when it was time to progress to the next 'event' (first dance, garter toss, cake cutting, etc). We did have to fill out a form about the order of events but that was not too inconvenient and it's completion meant our reception was super smooth.Our day of coordinator was Stacey Dillon. I left a thorough review of her on the Stacey and Company yelp page. I was completely satisfied with her help. With her by the time the event came we were 100% sure we hadn't forgotten anything. DJ Julio Loli did an awesome job as the DJ and emcee for our wedding at Piedmont Community Hall and created the perfect soundtrack for our day. Julio was extremely professional and helped us secure the more obscure music that my now husband requested for our ceremony entrances. He made sure the reception flowed smoothly through the cocktail hour and into the first dances, our money dance and cake cutting.  Our guests loved dancing to his music especially when he switched to Latin music and got all of my husband's family on the dance floor. So many of our guests asked us where we found such an amazing DJ.  One of our flower girls even cried when we had to end the evening since she still wanted to keep dancing!Also, DJ Sonny from Fog City managed the photo booth.  We are so glad we added the photo booth and it made it incredibly easy that Sonny and Julio were from the same company with so much experience working at our venue.  Sonny was very personable and even knew the names of our flower girls by the end of the evening.  All around, I highly recommend Fog City Entertainment for weddings! Mike DJ'd our wedding this past memorial day and he was amazing! He made himself available by phone or email to discuss the particulars for the wedding right after we hired him months before the wedding.  I loved the website, where we could chose which songs to play for the special moments in the ceremony/reception (processional music, intro music, first dance, etc.) He also let me chose all the music for the cocktail hour/dinner and I easily was able to send him all the mp3s via dropbox. He nailed all the music cues and abridged the songs for the first dances just as I requested! Also he worked very well with our wedding coordinator. And he made the dance floor GO OFF! Mike was the DJ for our June 14th wedding at the Villagio in Yountville, and he was fabulous!  Love that you can customize your song list with jams you want to hear and also ones you'd prefer to not hear! Fog City and DJ Sunny took care of the music for our wedding reception at the SF Zoo.  We had a great experience both in getting ready for the event and at the reception itself.   Fog City has a client website that walked us through possible events at a wedding and what song(s) we might want to have played, e.g. first dance.  They also had an impressive library of songs.   We chose a starting set of songs but we trusted DJ Sunny to read the crowd and mix additional songs to fit the mood.  And he did a great job. Everyone had a great time.DJ Sunny was punctual and well-prepared.  All the equipment was setup and music was playing well before the first guests arrived.   Sunny also took care of making the announcements for us, having the microphones all ready & tuned for toasts, etc.  The logistics went very smoothly.We enjoyed working with DJ Sunny and would definitely consider Fog City for any future events. Mike from Fog City Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding just a couple weekends ago. Having a good DJ was important to us, because in our experience, the DJ is often what keeps things moving a long at the wedding, and keeps the energy level and excitement up. We were really pleased. We decided to work with Fog City on the recommendation of a close friend, and it was definitely the right move. I was really impressed at the system they have in place for getting everything you want out of your wedding, especially the online playlist selection. On the day of, Mike had a really good feel for what my wife and I wanted, right down to the cinematic timing of certain moments with the music we selected. There were definitely details we forgot to include before the big day, and they turned out not to be a problem at all. I had a wedding at The Gardens at Heather Farms with Mike with about 150 people.He was OUTSTANDING!  He exceeded our expectations, and the wedding ran so smoothly!  My dad played a song for me at my wedding and he worked well with my dad to make sure he was ready and had the right equipment.  He took the time out to meet with my (now husband) and I before we hired him.  Mike was professional, and played the right music for the crowd.  He really knew how to transition things and was just a joy to have at the wedding.  We appreciated that he did our music/microphones last minute for our ceremony.  There were much more people on the dance floor than I even expected and it was thanks to Mike!! We had the pleasure of working with Sonny as our wedding DJ.  Boy does he know how to keep a party going!  We had 3 and a half hours of dancing, and the floor was full the entire time.  We selected some special songs we wanted to hear but didn't have time to give Sonny any more direction - but he totally nailed it!  He somehow picked tunes that had our friends and the grandparents dancing, all at the same time.  I loved his play list and wish I could go back to re-live our wedding night and dance the night away.Sonny was also incredibly prepared and punctual - we were getting married at a remote outdoor venue in Bodega Bay, and Sonny handled everything regarding sound.  He made sure we had a mic and speakers for our ceremony, mic and speakers for the toasts, and wedding music that was a perfect volume for the space.  One of the best parts was that he was on the ball and coordinated directly with our venue when I was too busy to get involved.  I planned our wedding from across the country (I live in NYC), and Sonny made it really easy to coordinate in advance.  He's also incredibly nice and thoughtful.  I didn't realize before our wedding day how much time you spend talking to vendors during the event - they help show you where to go, give you what you need when you need it, etc.  And it made all the difference that Sonny was so friendly and warm.  He even sent us a sweet thank you note and set of pics after the wedding - he went around and photographed lots of the little details we'd set up because he thought we might not get a chance to see them ourselves.  How awesome!I would work with Sonny again in a heartbeat and recommend him to any bride (or anyone in need of a DJ!). Our DJ was Michael Santillan.  He was wonderful!!!  It was like having our own personal pandora station where we could give him a list of a few songs and then he just nailed it!  He was also so helpful in getting the specific music we needed for our first dance- we needed a shortened version.Our guests danced the night away and we got so many compliments on the music and the DJ!  We were looking for someone that wouldn't be cheesy, make a ton of announcements, and someone that could read the energy of the dance floor.  He did this perfectly!! Mike with Fog City Entertainment provided all of our sound and all of our music for our wonderful wedding this summer. He was a breeze to work with from the beginning until the end. My husband's sister officiated our wedding and we planned our own ceremony so we wanted to make sure it went well and felt a little nervous about getting it all right. I'm glad we hired Fog City because during the ceremony he did a great job to help improve the sound and avoid any distracting wind sounds that might pop up. During the cocktail hour he was able to craft a lovely playlist from just a few songs we gave him as examples. During toasts he very nicely made sure they all happened on time. We got to have Fog City Entertainment work with us for our wedding last month. Mike was our DJ and he was an incredible help even 1 1/2 years before the wedding, when I had first booked him after hearing awesome things about Mike and his company. He met up with me and helped me to shape some of my early ideas about what I wanted for my wedding and throughout the entire planning process, he was always an amazing resource for advice, input, and also contacts for other wedding professionals that he's worked with. My husband and I were able to select our music and themes online on his website form, and it was really easy to find just about any song we could think of to play, or to ban! I picked a pretty unconventional classical piece to play as I walked down the aisle and wanted a very particular version- Mike was able to find it and played exactly the part that I had in mind. On the day of the wedding, Mike was in charge of our timeline and was able to roll with last minute changes, delays, curveballs and all the random hiccups that happen during a wedding and was able to pull off an evening that looked flawless and smooth. Chris DJ'ed our September 2011 wedding at the San Francisco Film Centre.  My wife and I really appreciated how Chris met with us before the event to help pick the play list and made the time to get to know us.  During the event, Chris made sure to keep the music danceable and wasn't afraid to fade a song out if the energy faded.  I know I'm biased, but I've never had more fun at a wedding and I think a large part of that was having a fantastic DJ. The 5 star rating does not lie--I am not getting anything for my super positive review!! I LOVE FOG CITY ENTERTAINMENT! Sonny did an AMAZING job DJing our wedding just a couple weeks ago in Tahoe City. That's right, 4 hours east of the SF bay area. He was completely trustworthy and professional. To prep for the wedding, he drove to our wedding site UNASKED two weekends before the date, scoping out our lakeside site to plan for power needs, set-up locations and plan for any issues that might arise. He planned for sound for our precessional musician and officiant without any prompting. When meeting with him, he was matter of fact while still being a great listener. We knew that we would get the vibe we wanted for the day all the while knowing that he was keeping the timing and logistics of the event in mind. Even before the big day we felt taken care of!Sonny attended our wedding rehearsal and was so warm and professional with our family and officiant, assuring us that he would take care of any issues that arose. We it came to the big day, the sound systems worked beautifully and were set up and taken down seamlessly and unobtrusively. With regard to his DJing, Sonny was fun and personable, making great jokes, announcing with charisma all the while not taking away from the day itself. He did an amazing job of reading our guests vibe, and I have heard from at least 5 of my guests that "it was the best dancing at a wedding I have ever been to." The dance floor was packed at every song. Overall, working with Sonny was a joy and a gift. I would recommend him even if it were just for his great DJing, but the fact that he took such care with the sound system, offered advice for the timing of all the wedding events, and went above and beyond taking a special trip to Tahoe earned him these 5 stars and a promise that I will recommend him and Fog City to any friend in need of a DJ in the greater bay area. Fog city nad in particlular Sonny Garcia really set the tone for my duaghter's wedding. You always want ot leave your guests wanting the party to go on and that exactly what Sonny did for us. From set up to take down, professional, kind and truly invested in the success of our special day. Mike and his team are reliable and truly know their business. Thank you will never be enough!
