In a world full of sterile, electronically driven Work out joints filled with more Lululemon attire than humanely palatable, one sometimes likes to work out and sweat in an old school rough and ready type gym! Energie Fitness is that gym. Located in Percy Park Rugby club it has everything you really need. Downstairs has a big studio for yoga/Pilates/functional work outs etc, cosy spinning studio and cardio floor. Upstairs are your weight machines and dumbbells to get buff and grunty. When I visit home (Tynemouth) every other quarter from the Big Apple, I always come to Energie, get my few days membership pass and work out. It may look small but has everything you need including weights, cardio and big Pilates/yoga studio (also small spinning room). Never too busy and everyone is friendly (staff and guests). Don’t bother with a big faceless gym when in town, go to Energie Tynemouth and feel like another friendly local face. More...
