Fingers and Toes Photography

When I was looking for a photographer, I was a little nervous about some of the reviews I read but also saw positive reviews and decided to hope for the best. I was also concerned that in any negative review she replied in a very defensive manner. Emily was good to work with and was fine during sessions. She had great availability and was mostly on time. It was disappointing however that she was, at times, difficult to reach by email. Sometimes it was a quick reply, but other times, it was over a week or some emails never received a reply. I booked her for both maternity and newborn sessions, and photos were supposed to be received within 20-30 days. I received the maternity photos 33 days later, after having to send a follow up. Newborn photos came 36 days later, once again after checking in. I understand that things can run behind schedule, but an email would have been appropriate indicating that the photos may be a few days late. For both photos sessions, she promised a preview in a few days, I never received one for either. Additionally, we discussed cost in the beginning before we booked, and I asked how much it would cost to upgrade to get all the images. I was told it would be 100 to upgrade, and that was it. When I asked to upgrade my newborn session, she said it was 200$, that the 100 was only if we upgraded before or during our session. This was only mentioned after we received the photos, not giving us the chance to order ahead of time. I find it very unprofessional to not indicate that it is 100$ only before the photos are ready. If that is the condition, it should have been mentioned when she told me the upgrade would cost 100. I did ask her to honor the price we discussed in writing, but she would not. Overall, the photos were good but I found her to be very unprofessional, like some of the previous reviews mentioned, and would warn future customers to be wary of booking. Emily was offering a mini shoot for Christmas which was perfect timing as our daughter was turning 6 months old and we had wanted to get photo's done. It was nice to have them done indoors in a warm and cozy spot, instead of outdoors. My daughter had been going through a separation anxiety phase not long before the day of the shoot so we were a little worried that it wasn't going to go well. Emily was awesome with her and got a few smiles from her which was a first for our daughter never meeting someone! Not only that but she didn't cry once. Emily captured the most adorable pictures. She also responded back within a reasonable time and got our photo's to us within the time frame she has set. I would highly recommend her! More...

I've used Fingers and Toes Photography two times now and I am once again so impressed and so happy with how my families pictures turned out! Emily is patient and so wonderful with my kids. She really did a phenomenal job and I will continue to have her do pictures of my family. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get professional photos done! More...

I have followed Emily’s work on Facebook for some time as she really has a talent for baby and child photography. I was lucky enough to win a mini session at Gaver Farm this year. We participated in the holiday mini session at Gaver Farm, and it was super easy. Emily was easy to find and had a great set up. She brought a cute couch, lots of snacks, great props.
