Louise is one of the most amazing people I have ever known.....she was amazing from the first second I met her and it didn't matter to her I was not a typical slim bride (how other places make you feel). .... her dresses are out of this world and she cannot do enough for you. even now after the wedding she is so excited to see the wedding pics and hear how married life is treating me..... she is a friend for life and I will use and recommend her to anyone. Review received from Nikki Hannah Kent - From the moment we walked into Fairytale Gowns and met Louise, we knew the shop was special! Initially visiting the shop to look at Louise's amazing collection of bridesmaid dresses, I ended up not only buying the bridesmaid dresses there but my wedding dress and all accessories too! Louise immediately made me at ease, I never felt any pressure at all from her! I showed her pictures of bridesmaid dresses I had in mind and the colour I was looking for and she let my sister try on as many dresses as she wanted! After narrowing it down to a few dresses we loved, Louise opened up the back of the shop into what I can only describe as a little bit of heaven! A large room designed for a single bride to have the whole area to herself while trying on wedding dresses. I showed Louise dresses I had tried on in other stores, and pictures of the dresses I liked. Soon after I was trying on dresses in all styles, Louise suggesting I try on a large range to definitely rule out certain dresses, before long I knew I had one the one! There was no pressure from Louise at all, in fact Louise insisted I went home and thought about if I was definitely sure before ordering - which I did a few weeks later! After my dress arrived, Louise was brilliant in reassuring me that the seamstresses would be able to adjust my dress because I had lost a lot of weight (which they did perfectly!) In the months leading up to the wedding I went and tried my dress back on and ordered all my accessories from Louise, trying on a variety of styles to see what looked best. I can't recommend Fairytale Gowns, and the owner Louise, highly enough!!! Having traipsed through Norwich and having no luck one of my friends suggested I try Louise. I'm so glad I did!!! Her range of gowns and accessories are just exquisite and so reasonably priced! I found the perfect dress and veil - I felt just like a princess on my wedding day.Having gone to other shops I found the experience of trying on dresses stressful and somewhat invasive! However Louise is so relaxed, helpful and fun it was like shopping with a good friend. Even after I had purchased my dress Louise took all my measurements helped me find a seamstress. If you are looking for a wedding dress and I imagine you are if you are looking at this website, then I recommend that you don't just look at this website but visit Louise at her shop in Stalham. Chris and I got married on 27 August 2016 but I started looking for my dress in the summer of 2015. I live in Sutton which borders Stalham but along with my Mum, I started my search in Norwich. We visited many of the larger well known stores but not only did I not find what I was looking for I didn't feel comfortable with any of the sales assistants. Fairytale Gowns was our last stop. Right from the moment we walked into the store, and what a store, Louise put me at ease. The shop floor hides a beautiful self contained dressing room where all the bridal wear is kept. Louise's first question was 'what did I not want from my dress', which at first I thought was quite odd, however, after trying on various dresses I thought I would like, Louise suggested I try something that I didn't think I'd like, a lace covered dress. All I can say is Louise knows her stuff, I loved the dress once it was on, even though it was about 6 sizes too big! I decided there and then it was the one. Louise took my measurements and ordered me the dress to fit which would come from Italy. Once the dress arrived, I went in for a fitting, after a stressful start, the dress wouldn't do up, and I'd cooled down, it fitted perfectly! Over the next few months, Louise helped me choose my accessories, always knowing what would look best. I ended up purchasing everything except my shoes from Fairytale Gowns! Nothing is too much trouble for Louise. She is at the end of the phone or email and didn't mind me arranging a few times to come in just to check the dress still fitted! I'm still waiting for my photos to come back, but I felt and looked amazing and Louise with her knowledge, patience and guidance was a huge help towards this. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
