Melissa worked closely with me to help plan a successful 1st birthday for my son! She was super responsive and was able to offer guidance for timing of the artists during the party as well. I never had to worry about anything! Melissa's team was so wonderful at the event - we had face painting and a balloon artist and the kids were on cloud 9! The face painter did beautiful work as did the balloon artist and kept the kids entertained so the parents could enjoy themselves as well! They required no direction and did their thing wonderfully. We can’t recommend Face Art By Melissa enough! We had a face painter and a balloonist for my daughters 3rd birthday party and they were just incredible. When the balloonist arrived he said he had heard that our theme was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so he had made and brought a big Mickey balloon with him. We were so touched by the effort and talent. Each kid had an incredible balloon to take home and the balloonist was so quick that no one waited. The face painter was so so sweet with the kids and so very talented. Her makeup was so clean and she made sure each kid had a special face painting without anyone waiting long at all. Melissa did a glitter bar for our wedding reception that turned out to be the HIGHLIGHT of the night! Her designs were amazing and got everyone excited, our 20 and 70 year old guests alike. Many more guests than expected decided to get one of her unique glitter tattoos and at any point during the night, there was a curious crowd watching her create her many small masterpieces. Melissa was extremely accommodating and stayed longer than previously agreed on. She was full of energy and created designs that matched everyone's outfit in color and style. Entire families got family portraits taken with their glittery looks! Melissa has a warm and welcoming personality and made everyone feel comfortable while getting their tattoos. We hired Faceart by Melissa for my son's 5th birthday party and the facepainters and balloonist were amazing!! They were so great with the kids and many parents were impressed with Joseph the balloonist. He really took the time to talk to and create what each child wanted and made sure he created something for my son before he left. I contacted Melissa on Tuesday for an event on Tuesday and she was able to provide a phenomenal face painting artist at such short notice. The artist was amazing with the kids. The art looked amazing and she even took the time to personalize their looks and made each child feel special. She was sweet and kind. Absolutely stellar work by Melissa. She was inviting, helpful in explaining the process, and was very flexible with taking a super creative approach to various parts of the painting process. If Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner asked for a recommendation for the best face art around, I would send them nowhere else but to Melissa! The paint held up great even in a very warm warehouse party. I hired Face Art by Melissa for my son's 5th Birthday Party and I am glad I did. I have been to parties with face painters and have never seen the talent that Melissa and her artist have. This was my first time in charge of hiring entertainment for my son's party and I did not know who to trust. There were companies who seemed like they were good but their reviews were not. I found her through a magician I hired named Magic Evan, so I looked her up. She kept in contact and was very warm and professional. Parents and children kept asking me where did I find her because her work was just so good. She and her artist did not leave anyone unpainted. If some children smudged their face paint they went above and beyond to make sure to fix it for them. Everyone from children and adults were lining up to receive some of the best face paint they have ever seen. At the end of the party my stepson sits down and starts asking me where did you find them because they're legit, I've never seen face painters in parties like this." She was phenomenal. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her art work was incredible, every singe child and parent loved her. We hired Face Art by Melissa for my daughter's birthday party. They were a HUGE hit!During the planning/booking phase, Melissa was responsive and communicative, and coordinated everything perfectly, making my wife's hectic day a bit easier. On the day of the event, the artist was extremely easy to work with. She was friendly, and really great with the kids. And of course, she did wonderful work! All of the kids (and many of the adults) left with beautiful face art or hand art. We just had the most patient, friendly and professional face painter/ balloon maker at my little girl's 4th birthday party in downtown Brooklyn. Â The artist arrived early to set up and painted kids faces non-stop for an hour and then made balloon animals, flowers, puppies, swords, you name it for the other hour. Â As you can imagine how impatient kids under 5 will be queuing on line but the artist took it all in stride and was diplomatic to all the kids (and parents). Â Not once, did the artist break momentum or professional demeanor. The face painting was so beautiful with added sparkles and embellishments. Â I received so many compliments on how wonderful the work was from my friends. Â The balloon animals were also very varied and creative. Â It was well worth every penny and I didn't need to buy any frivolous favors because every kid walked away with a personalized face design and special balloon animal. Melissa is absolutely lovely. We have used her for our childrens parties and have referred her many times over. She is also a local favorite for the Carl Shurz Easter Egg hunt and other local community events. You'll find her warm and accommodating and great with children. Her prices are reasonable and worth every penny if not more. She is also no limited to children she and her team are amazing body painters for adults have has done face and body paint as well as Gems, Air Brushing and glitter tattoos.
