Gordon Lyster was fantastic to work with. He was professional without being too 'corporate', totally got the spirit of the event and went out of his way to capture shots and images that would be valuable to the attendees and to us as organisers of an accurate and fun record of the conference. Some of the shots he took, often in difficult lighting conditions, were miraculous. More...
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I could give a really technical answer, talking about using the right lighting, lenses, shutter speeds and ISO settings, but to be perfectly honest, they have very little to do with taking a great photograph.
My all time favourite photographer, Henri Cartier Bresson hit the nail on the head when he used to talk about "the decisive moment".
Another photographer told me the that the most important thing was to be there when stuff happened.
The secret is, there is no secret!
