Terrible! Engineer serviced the boiler & I took the front panel off to see all was OK inside & that there were no leaks. There was a sizable leak on the bottom inside panel so I investigated where it came from & saw the leak was coming from the sump spigot & 90 degree hose that connects to the siphon.The had not assembled this hose properly.I had to take it off & saw that he had broken the spigot & a the piece had wedged inside the hose.
I spoke to the MD & he had the audacity to say that the part was faulty & had corroded (its plastic). He also commented that it's a "known fact" that this is a weak point on the sump & that it becomes brittle over time & breaks.He said that they would have to charge for the part & fitting which infuriated me.
What really annoyed me is the MD "evaluating" the issue over the phone & putting the onus on the component being faulty without even visiting my house.He simply did not want to cough up. Shambolic & will never use again.

Terrible service from Envirowarm. Engineer came out & serviced the boiler & just out of curiosity I took the front panel off to see all was OK inside & that there were no leaks. I could tell that the engineer had not assembled this hose properly & tried to make it fit. I had to take it off & saw that he had broken the spigot & a the piece had wedged inside the hose.
Having reported this to Envirowarm the very next day they said that they would send the engineer around again & I said that he must bring a new sump & hose which they said they would bring. They didn't & the engineer said that he wasn't told about this!!! I have just spoken to the Managing Director Andy Robinson & he had the audacity to say that the part was faulty & had corroded (its plastic). The boiler had no leak prior to the engineer visit & he created the leak....fact! Now that's not right nor is it fair. Surely the engineer is there to rectify a leak & not create one? I cannot see any report on the web that shows that this area is a weak point on the boiler Mr Robinson (the hundreds of issues you have dealt with does not seem to stack up).Please remember, I work for Ideal Boilers & I do get to know issues when they arise & I have never heard of this issue & that is the truth. Mr Robinson got me thinking though.....maybe I had missed something? So I then called on a couple of people within our quality department, one qualified quality engineer the other a reliability engineer. Neither had ever heard of this issue & out of anybody I know they were the best port of calls within the business.
The bottom line is, Mr Andy Robinson is a liar. He did not accept that his engineer was at fault & that they would rectify at their cost. He simply did not want to cough up. I have spoken to various people within Ideal today (as he had worked for us some time ago) & the general concensus was that is is an untrustworthy character. I know a bulls****** when I hear one & this is he.
It's unfortunate that I know a lot of people in high places Mr Robinson & this time your luck has just ran out. Not sure you will be getting any business subcontracting for us any more. All for a measly piece of plastic eh.

Only contacted Andy last night after been let down by a Holderness road company who were forever letting me down .He was on time serviced the boiler even fitted a water filling loop to the boiler'' all up and running after 6 days of no hot water and heating and Andy was in and out within an Hour Excellent job thanks again we will be back for new Radiators next.
