They keep removing my review! We are very dissatisfied! We were looking forward to having Emerald City Cocktails at our wedding.
When the bartender Emily arrived she was very rude from the start. I was the groom and when I went to introduce myself she did not even try to talk to me. The only response I got from her was "I know, I've been here before". She had a poor attitude, did not smile and really didn't seem to care who I was even though I am the one who hired and paid for them. She did not say hi, or hello, or anything along those lines. I figured maybe she was stressed and decided I would come back in a little while.
Shortly after, my mom who was mother of the groom, went to talk to her and was met with the same impoliteness. She could barely get her to have a conversation or anything and Emily was rude to her. Then I started to get complaints from guests that the bartender had a very poor attitude and was not nice at all. It seemed as though she hated her job and did not want to be there. The final straw for me was when my wife went to ask her a question and got a very rude answer in return with a negative tone. We all were not going to tolerate the bartender being rude to my new wife in any way! Firing her was the best thing we did! Once she left the entire mood of the event lifted and we were able to celebrate our day without a negative presence. She was completely out of line and very unprofessional. It was no way for her to conduct herself.
Every other vendor came and found me when they arrived and were polite, smiled and introduced themselves. They asked me questions and made sure they were ready for everything. Emerald city cocktails did not do this at all. They simply did not care. They didn't care to introduce themselves or even make an effort to find the host.
If you are a bartender at a wedding on a very joyous day, then you need to play the part! I've been in the customer service field before and regardless of how bad of a day you are having you suck it up, smile and be courteous. Emily was none of these! The way she responded to people was very rude. To talk to my wife, myself and my family the way she did is very uncalled for! At least have some respect for the customer that hired you. Even if someone asks you a question you should at least respond in pleasant way.
Another issue I had although small was they said they would provide the ice for our event. They showed up with only a few bags which is not nearly enough for the number of beverages we purchased. I put 7 bags of ice in my own cooler at home when I have people over. If I were in charge of ice I would have bought 20 to 30 bags of ice for a large number of people on an 85 degree day. Especially when the vendor tells me they will provide the ice that I purchased through them.
Talking with Neil up to the event was just fine. He gave us suggestions on how to do a couple things and we went with his recommendations. A week before the wedding we agreed we only needed one bartender instead of two and were offered a credit or to extend the time for the service and have ice provided. We decided to extend the time of service. After our experience and knowing now, we wish we would have taken the credit to try and save some money from a waste of an expense.
I'm an easy going person and never left a bad review before, but this was the worst experience I have ever had! The way Emily presented herself and treated everyone who came in contact with her was incredibly unprofessional. I still get people asking me "What was up with that bartender and her poor attitude?"
I have written this review to hopefully help prevent others from having a similar situation. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. Also, as I said, they keep removing my review. To have been paid in full and then remove reviews when your company performs poorly just shows how much they don't want people to see this. I hope everyone sees this!

Great communication- quick response to initial inquiry, always responsive to questions, easy and thorough communication with Neil via email and phone. He uses Google Docs to share information, which made it so easy to keep track of all the advice he gave us when we went to purchase items for our bar. Incredibly reasonable price for the value- it was so nice not to get advice early on and then not have to worry about the bar for the entire event. The bartender at our event, Chris, was friendly, helpful, efficient- our guests loved him and so did we! Only great things to say about this company- we highly recommend them to make alcohol service at your event stress free! More...

Neil was a wonderful part of a party we had for 100+ people this past weekend. Location was in a barn, and Neil came completely prepared - bar, water dispensers, etc. even signage to communicate the evening's beverage choices. Plus, we were able to provide the beer, wine, and soft drinks which saved us a ton of $$$. His style is fun yet professional, and our guests commented on the excellent service throughout the night. I would absolutely recommend Neil to anyone! He was responsive and helpful during the alcohol buying process, our guests had a great time, he was personable and fun at the wedding.
Whenever I looked over at the bar, there was never a line. He came early and was set up on time and the bar area looked great. Such a great choice going with Emerald City Cocktails for our wedding.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Neil this evening at a preschool auction. He bartended for 140-150 moms and dads on a kid free night- if you have kids- you understand this statement. This is no easy feat! Parents like to take advantage of their free time and the bar was packed! Neil seamlessly worked through the line, and every patron of our event left with a smile on their face after being served by Neil. He made a delicious signature cocktail that was raved about, too. Neil was able to offer accurate estimations for how much alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages we would need to purchase. He was incredibly professional in all of our dealings with him. Neil was amazing to work with! I was running around like crazy trying to keep everything running smoothly for my brothers wedding, he showed up, I showed him where things were and that was it! I HIGHLY recommend Neil at Emerald City Cocktails for your next event you guys! We met Neil at the Big Fake Wedding event, where he offered us a glass of sangria and a jello shot. We were sold!
We reached out two weeks later and asked Neil to bartend at a potluck brunch at The Stables in Georgetown.
He responded promptly and gave great recommendations on what we would need to pick up for a successful event.
Neil was flexible, even offering to run errands and pick up supplies. He served around 70 people for three hours non-stop. He was so humble and kind at the event and such a great bartender. Thanks Neil!

I can't thank Neil and his team enough. My guests were raving about their drinks for days after the wedding. He was so helpful in coming up with creative ideas for drinks, with telling me how much alcohol I'd need. Guests loved his personality and said he was the best bartender they'd ever seen (and I have folks who spend a LOT of times at a LOT of bars!!). So happy that we hired Neil and Emerald City Cocktail for my friend's wedding. Â The bride already had another bartender booked for her Sunday wedding and they canceled Saturday at 2 pm! Â We didn't know what we were going to do, but Neil called me back right away and was super helpful. Â He fielded multiple calls from me that afternoon with different questions and was so patient as we figured it out. Â Also he was very willing to work with us and gave us an amazing price, especially given that it was so last minute! Â Honestly we were so worried about what we were going to do and he made it so easy - we really lucked out!At the actual event, Neil and the other bartender were great. Â They were super friendly, funny, prompt, and great at their job. Â They were joking around and talking with guests and really set a great mood. Â They provided their own bar and equipment and coolers which was awesome, and they were also fully insured. Â He arrived early, set everything up, and then cleaned up at the end.
