About

It's great to meet you, welcome to my profile.
My name is Emeline. I offer services in language and flute tutoring.
I am a passionate linguist, and keen musician . Owing to a busy life I have not been able to dive into tutoring in the last couple of years, and now I am happy to have plenty of free time again to enjoy this offering.

Q&As

I love interacting with others and building fruitful partnerships. Sharing my interests is a joy.

My aim is to become self-employed in the area of mentoring/tutoring and well-being. Mental, emotional and physical well-being & harmony is a key area of interest for me, which I hope to offer as a more specialised service when I am ready.

I approach life devotedly and passionately. You can be assured that I am reliable, organised and committed, whilst I am also creating new ideas, bringing spark and enthusiasm to the table.

Services

I am a flautist with 10 years of experience in tuition and orchestral and group participation, all of which I took great enjoyment in. It is for this reason I would like to offer my services for tuition to budding flautists, drawing on my experience and passion for this special time of getting to know the instrument, and learning to grow in confidence and in love for the art of flute playing. Being a flautist has truly suited my character, as someone who works deeply with the power of breath, the elegance of fine note tuning, harmonising and with an intrigue for precision, whilst retaining the flare for everyone's own artistic take on the practice.
Playing the flute has been for me an exercise of both practical skill, deep learning, and mindfulness wellbeing. The way of the flute is such which asks for conscious breathing, undivided attention and an expression of who one is. This, I believe, is important in our modern day lives. The act of taking up the hobby of the flute empowers our capacity to pause, breathe and release, whilst creating beautiful tones and sounds of (hopefully) enjoyable music! My tuition will involve the basic skeletal structure needed to build a core of knowledge and skill in music making, this includes: holding the flute and placing fingers correctly for ease, posture, embouchure, the theory and practice of scales and their counterparts, how to read the music (if the musical language is new to you), exercises to build technical skill/confidence/sense of rhythm, the inclusion of specific technicalities, dynamics and so on. There is no problem at all if you have never been exposed to reading and understanding music. What might make me unique is my innate ability to explain sometimes complex topics into something easily digestible, stemming from my experience and love of sharing and teaching my interests. I am completely committed to meeting you where you are at and tailoring the sessions towards your greatest advantage.

I am an enthusiastic linguist, and have previously loved tutoring languages.
Having grown up for part of my childhood in Southern France, and with a family originating from Switzerland, I have been privileged to learn French at a young age. This was when my passion for languages was ignited, and I continued to take both French and German through school and pursued my degree in these.
Presently I would love to dive into using my language skills again and to have the joy in sharing these with others. I am a very friendly, warm and engaging person.
