I would 100% recommend Eddie! I signed up for the 12 week Happiest You Coaching programme because I had lost my identify as a runner and was very stuck again (it’s like a yo-yo) in the “all or nothing” mentality when it came to food choices. I wanted to find a happy medium with food and feel motivated to get fitter again so that I could get back to the trimmer figure that I personally prefer for me.Well Eddie did not disappoint! His coaching made me look at my food behaviours and make changes here and there for the better. Nothing is banned so mentally, the feeling of missing out isn’t there and there’s no guilty feeling for eating something “naughty”. Eddie works with you on all of that. The main thing is, I did not (and still do not) feel like I was on a diet! Oh and just to mention that I’m vegan but that is irrelevant for this programme - just ask Eddie if you’re not sure about your particular requirements.Eddie is also a great coach. He understands how life gets in the way of good intentions and helps you to apply principles to manage all of this. He is there for you basically! And well, the results for me have been amazing!! Over a stone lost to fit back into my smaller clothes, inches lost around my waist and hips - this makes me visibly slimmer and I feel great. I also have increased energy levels and I have fallen in love with running again! I feel the urge to run rather than feeling that I should do it. What a difference. I am so happy and will keep applying the principles from the coaching moving forward. Oh and enjoying my flapjacks and rum too! Thanks Eddie! More...

Where to start I don’t think I can recommend Eddie and his programme enough! A few months ago I signed up with him as I knew I needed to make some changes for both my physical and mental health. The support Eddie has given me is second to none - he is really easy to talk to and a brilliant coach. He has worked with me to develop routines that fit in with my life - I have managed to change habits that I have had for years in just a few months and the impact this has had on me is incredible. I have lost weight and I am stronger and fitter than I have been for years. My confidence levels are rising and for the first time in a long time believe that I can actually achieve my goals. If you, like I was, are reading this and thinking “Should I give it a go?” then I would absolutely encourage you to do so - you honestly won’t look back! I’ve worked with Eddie for 2 years now as my online coach. It started as I wanted to get fit for 30. Then I realised how much working with him changed my outlook, increased my confidence and self belief! I hit all of my goals working with Eddie which I’ve never achieved an end goal before. I look forward to our weekly chats, he’s friendly and personable and really easy to work with. I would class him as a friend and then my coach. He’s helped me reach my goal weight and be the lightest, fittest, healthiest and most confident I’ve been in 10 years, I’ve lost 3 stone in the time I’ve worked with Eddie. I’m Excited to continue to work with Eddie this year and see what I can achieve with his help and guidance. Would 100% recommend Eddie he is a fantastic guy to work with and achieve results physically and mentally that you don’t think are possible More...

What can I say....?I commented on one of Eddies Facebook posts almost 4 months ago, not really knowing what his program was about. After a quick chat with him, I signed up to the first week for free, and then decided to take a leap of faith and sign up for the remainder of the 12 week program.Eddie provided a fantastic level of support throughout the program. His positive attitude towards helping others really does make a difference!I have tried diets in the past...but this program is different! Not one food was restricted!I am so happy that I took that leap of faith...thanks to Eddie’s program, I am now a whopping 15.1kg (2st 5lb) down! (And still going down!!)I have lost fat, gained muscle, improved my fitness, gained confidence, but most importantly....improved my health! If you’re unsure if this program is for you....please, take a leap of faith and give it a try! I’m sure, like me...you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks Eddie! :) More...

Where to start...If you’re looking for a coach who is relatable down to earth and understanding you are in the right place. Eddie has designed this programme with you in mind putting together personal experiences which he will willingly share and professional knowledge! I was skeptical at first but decided it was time to shift this weight once and for all, if not now when? I spoke with Eddie and joined the programme with the free week trial, which I was surprised was very very different from anything I had ever tried before! I always try and fail with diets but this isn’t a diet it’s more a lifestyle change which develops habits that really work and will soon become your way of life! Clearly something changed in my thinking and my routine as thanks to this first week I lost 7lbs in 8 days! I was hooked and joined for the full 12 weeks! During the programme you have constant support from Eddie and as he has reminded me on many occasion no question is stupid, if you’re struggling tell him and he will be more than happy to help! I couldn’t recommend this programme enough Thank you Eddie for helping me change my life for good More...

EJay fit Review ... what a difference 21 days makes... When I found Eddies 21 day challenge and embarked upon it I was very much in a rut. I was stressed, exhausted - emotionally, physically and mentally. I had no energy, no time (apparently), no ME time (definately). I was snacking too much and definitely drinking to much alcohol. I live in one of the most beautiful areas of countryside in the country and just did not feel like getting out and enjoying it anymore... ... then along came EJay Fit ... and boy what a change! I haven’t felt this enthusiastic, energised, positive and optimistic that I can achieve what I want to in so long it’s quite unbelievable! Everyone needs to make changes for a different reason and although my weight loss goals were not massive they were important to me. I never could have imagined the changes Eddie has helped me make ... certainly never could have imagined feeling as energetic and motivated 6 months ago. I workout several times a week now. Either swimming or weights / resistance bands at home (I don’t use a gym at all!) And this year I have taken up running too! No meal plans .. no forbidden foods .. and I still enjoy a glass of wine ..(or two!) I cannot praise Eddie enough for the help, support, advice, knowledge, sense of humour, encouragement and consistent enthusiasm... (it’s almost like it’s addictive!)The difference in my life over the last 6 months is tremendous. Eddie couldn’t have done anymore to help me make that difference. He’s a star!! I highly recommend you try the online programme.. You will not be disappointed!! More...

Having tried various 'diets' over the years, finally finding something that works and I enjoy is heaven! I was always taught from an early age to eat everything that's put in front of me....hence one of the reasons I gained weight, coupled with emotional eating! I'm now enjoying my food and not just looking at it as fuel. Eddie has put into place the know how through mindful thinking, and is also there if needed for additional advice or support! Not only have I lost lbs, and inches, I've gained confidence & motivation! More...

Working with Eddie has been enlightening! It was such a relief to finally find somebody who really understood my behaviours around food and exercise. His approach is quite different from anything else i've tried before and I have tried a lot of various approaches over the years! What has really worked for me was consistent encouragement to help me become more aware of my behaviours and then going on to create new habits. This is all done without pressure and without judgement, just genuine caring support. I found Eddie's approach to be simple, uncomplicated and manageable. Therefore, i was able to feel successful and empowered rather than overwhelmed and defeated as I have often felt after trying hard to follow regimes, diets and workouts!Interestingly, by making small, sustainable changes which suit my lifestyle , I have naturally lost weight but by far the best changes are the way I feel about myself and my body. Eddie has given me tools to go on making long lasting changes and improvements to my health and well-being which I am incredibly grateful for. More...

Working with Eddie at Ejayfit has been really helpful. He is very supportive and has a huge amount of knowledge which assists all people in making sustainable and positive work towards health and fitness. As a long sufferer of negative and upsetting weight and food lifestyle he has really helped putting things in perspective mentally. He has a good understanding of peoples issues with consistent dieting and weight problems. This is not one of those diets which constrict you it is a full holistic course tackling all issues to make you happier with yourself and food. More...

Where do I start?! Over the years I have tried every single possible diet that is out there and every different form of exercise that’s ever existed. I can safely say that none of them made me happy in terms of the way I looked and felt about my body and health. It wasn’t until I worked with Eddie that he changed my entire mind-set about what I was actually trying to achieve. I can't even begin to list everything he has taught me in the last couple of months but the main thing I have taken away with me for life is to do what I love because that is what I will stick at in the long-term. Not to force feed myself chicken and broccoli because that’s what I think I should be eating to lose weight. He taught me to realise that eating nutritious foods that I actually enjoy and can eat consistently will give me better results long-term than starving myself to fit into that dress and then binge on all the foods I banned myself from having, and actually being further away from fitting in that said dress. In terms of exercising, again he encouraged me to do what I enjoyed and not doing hundreds of 'crunches' or hours of cardio because that’s the most recent fad that promises results. What I found to love is lifting weights in the gym and teaching me that this is okay that it may be different to what other girls are doing. By doing this consistently I have changed the shape of MY body to look how I want it to look. If it wasn’t for Eddie I probably wouldn’t have even found what I loved I would have bounced from copying what the latest magazines and social media were promoting. He has educated me in so many ways that I have the tools to live healthily and happily for a long long time. Everything he has taught me is tailored to me, my goals, taking into account my weaknesses, my strengths and what I enjoy and from that I have finally reached a point where I am happy with the way I look which I know I can maintain. He is the loveliest, most knowledgeable coach I’ve ever worked with and I can’t recommend him enough!! More...

I came across this Personal Trainer via Facebook and "joined in". I signed up for his 3 week plan and its changed me completely. He makes sense, cuts out the rubbish, & supports you all the way. I highly recommend his way of work. Food & Exercise go together and both are thoroughly enjoyed through his practices. Cannot thank him enough. More...

EJay Fit known as one of the best Personal Trainer in Darlington offers Personal Coaching.

Q&A

A healthy diet is absolutely important to your health and wellbeing. However, I will stress this from the off - your diet does not need to be perfect.

Sure it likely needs to be better, and healthier than it has been, but it does not need to be perfect.

One of the most frequent questions I’m asked as a personal trainer is this,

“Do you do meal plans Eddie?”

No. No I don’t do meal plans.

“Why?”

Because, well… they suck and they’re a waste of your hard earned money.

Being told to eat this EXACT thing, in this EXACT amount, at this EXACT time is the kinda control that no one needs in their life.

And I promise you, being handed a rigidly prescribed eating plan WILL NOT provide you with the long term results you’re after.

Regardless of how enthusiastic you are, life will get in the way.

– You’ll get sick
– The kids will get sick
– Holidays happen
– Birthdays come up
– You’ve gotta work late

And sooner or later,

– You’re willingness to eat a chicken breast at 10 am in the morning, will diminish.

Because real people (you and I) don’t eat nutrients, we eat food.

We eat burgers, salads, pastas, pizzas and sandwiches with friends, family and co-workers when the time suits…

Not 200 grams of chicken breast, 3 grams of olive oil and a cup of steamed broccoli at 5pm because our meal plan told us so.

If you’re looking to improve your diet, you don’t need to get weird about it.

Instead, here’s what I suggest you do;

– Discover what you’re currently eating
– Start to make small, and sustainable, healthy changes to it

If you’re eating no breakfast at all, and then over indulging come 10 am – start by eating breakfast and notice the difference it makes.

If you’re lunch contains chips and an energy drink – swap them for a baked potato and a water to cut your calories dramatically.

If dinners a microwave meal and a bottle of wine – try cooking something simple from fresh and have just a glass of wine.

None of this is about shooting for perfection, it’s simply about continual improvement which works with your real, everyday life.

And it’s the exact same approach I take with my clients (both here in Darlington and Online) to help them lose inches, drop dress sizes and get confident with life again.

Improve your food habits and you will improve your body composition.

Not just for the short term, but for long term life changing results.

Because every lb you lose, should be a lb you never gain again right?

For the last four years I’ve been coaching women on a one-to-one basis, and in that time I’ve learnt a ton about health, nutrition, mind-set and the common obstacles that stand in the way of you achieving the weight loss results you want. I’ve helped hundreds in achieving their goals in person, and having set up online over seventeen months ago, have now helped many more through my online coaching and writing. I now want to help even more women, like you, by passing on my knowledge and experience in an honest and supportive environment, so I can help drive you towards changing your life.

Now it’s important for you to understand that I want this to be the last diet, or nutritional programme you ever follow. This isn’t about me handing you a boring exercise plan, a strict meal plan and waving you goodbye (which sadly many programmes and trainers do). Instead it’s about the process, the skills, the habits, the knowledge, the asking of questions and the changing of your behaviours and beliefs around food and exercise for good.

I’m here to support you through all of that and more. All I need you to do is take a chance on yourself, and invest back in you and your health.

Sound fair?

Then let’s go on this life changing experience, together…

The "secret" (if we can call it that) lies within the way we live our lives.

Fad diets, detoxes and exercise programmes can work - but only for so long.

You see, most people when they come to me with their weight loss goals have usually been dieting for years, if not decades already. They've lost weight only to put it all back on, flipping from diet to diet.

So, I take a different approach. I take an approach which is aimed to get you "the body of your dreams" both in the short term whilst also setting you up with the tools and knowledge to be able to keep this body for the long term. It's my job to get you to a place where you no longer need to rely on me, or any other trainer out there, to stay in the shape you want to be in.

The perception of what people think I do in my job versus the reality of what I actually do in my job is very different.

Think of the title “personal trainer” and you may be forgiven for automatically thinking of boot camp screaming workouts, strict diet plans, perfectionism and cringe-worthy latex clothing. But if you’ve gotten this far down on the page I’m hoping you’ve already concluded that it couldn’t be much further off the mark here.

You see the thing is, I joined the fitness industry to help people. And none of the above help, they actually do the opposite. My experiences through working with hundreds of clients, and background in studying psychology, has taught me that I can work way smarter.

My interests in helping clients reach their weight loss goals lie much deeper than just moving more and eating less. It’s about affecting permanent behaviour change, stress levels, sanity around food, exercise habits, self-acceptance, self-confidence and more.

And this is exactly what I love about my job - helping people reach goals, grow in confidence and to better their lives as a whole.

The inspiration was simply down to being able to reach more people than I previously could.

I want to inspire and educate people to take control of their own health, nutrition and fitness.

Here’s something I’m very proud of: I do things differently to other personal trainers.

Those trainers that scream you into the ground once a week with randomly plucked exercises and then hand you a tasteless meal plan to stick to as they wave you goodbye. Those trainers that cannot understand why squatting, hitting the gym and eating protein isn’t your number one priority in life and then question your desire to change when you can’t make a session.

Those trainers that love to talk at you, but never listen to you.

In order to truly start moving forward, you’ll need a different approach.

An approach where by you have a trainer who takes the time to learn about you and your life, who discovers the major obstacles that stand in your way, who listens to your needs and then provides you with a simple and effective programme whilst delivering constant support and encouragement to ensure you succeed.

You see, my personal training isn’t about making you join a gym, start a crazy exercise routine or go on a crash diet. In fact, I’ll never ask you to do any of those things.

Instead, it’s about meeting you exactly where you are at this point in time with your situation and helping you break free towards a better life of confidence, appreciation and happiness which promises you so much more than what today currently holds for you. I’m here to ensure you have the best possible plan, support and guidance needed for you to succeed in changing your life for the better.

So if you’re ready to take action, start losing the inches and investing back in yourself today then I’d love to hear more about your awesome self.

You can get in contact with me via this site, or head on over to my site at www.ejayfit.com and send in an application to work with me.
