My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding, and having driven upwards of nine hours from OKC to Quincy, we wanted something tasty, within five minutes of our hotel, and not fast food.I found Dunnbelly through Yelp, and am so glad we did!We walked in and were seated pretty quickly at a table for two. The service was excellent and fast.My boyfriend ordered the flank steak, which came with veggies, and I had the shrimp and grits. His steak was perfectly cooked, and he commented that in his 30+ years of visiting family in Quincy, this was the best restaurant meal he's ever had there.I ordered the shrimp and grits, and omg. The grits were SO good with the parmesan cheese and the basil pesto. The shrimp had a nice kick to them. My only, very minor, quibble, is that the bacon was left in large whole pieces, and I would have preferred smaller chunks that I could have picked up with my fork. We also ordered their chocolate cake for dessert, and while it wasn't necessarily some big fancy dessert, it was delicious, chocolatey, and we could have eaten another slice. Overall, highly, highly recommend Dunnbelly. The food is delicious, the chef came out to check on diners, and it was a great, warm atmosphere. More...
We dined at Dunnbelly for the first time this evening and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, service was prompt, and we received Christmas cookie samples with our bill. We will definitely return.
With great food and a good atmosphere I was pleasantly surprised by this small town resturaunt. The outside may deceive you at first but the inside ia homely and the view from the windows in the back and outside are fantastic. The food was good and there were even a selection of vegetarian options on the menu. If I pass through again I wouldn't mind stopping in again! More...
Food was very good. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere
Very good food, but portions are small. Grits is the best.
Food was amazing ! Our favorite place to dine in Quincy.....highly reccomend it for a very nice dinner.

Great food, great atmosphere and the people are super awesome! Thanks guys! Will be back.
Dunnbelly is, by an insurmountably vast margin, the best restaurant in Quincy Illinois, Moreover, it is the best restaurant I've been to in the entire tristate area excluding Burlington Iowa, and St Louis Missouri. They have the best, hand selected cuts of beef and pork. They have fresh caught fish on offer on a weekly basis. Their cocktail bar is tasteful and obligingly generous! And the price reflects their quality; IT IS EXPENSIVE! But it is entirely worth it. Tip your waitress! More...
A Quincy favorite!
Great place with true, artisan cocktails. I ordered a boulevardier and it was great. I got a cod sandwich and fries. Both were very tasty.
Delightful and Yummy. Beautiful evening. Presentation superb. We dined on th patio and enjoyed nature at its best. We have not ever not had an exquisite meal and wonderful experience at Dunn Bellys!
Absolutely excellent. Guessed at the place and it hit a home run.
Brad is one of the best chefs in the area! Food is great. Drinks are even better.
Staff and food were AMAZING. Keep doing what you are doing!!!
been there several times.always great food and drinks.usually get seafood specials-grouper and halibut last times.excellently prepared.highly recommend!
When I stayed in Quincy for 30 days I went to this restaurant for atleast 10 times. Good ambience, good food, nice beers and good service. They have single page menu but got a nice variety in itself. Definitely recommended More...
Menu is so fun! Great service and quality!
Tasty food. Prices are a little higher than most of the casual restaurants in Quincy, but the food is quite good.

Delicious food, great service, friendly. My fave is hot goat cheese appetizer.

Limited options.... but great food!
Service was wonderful, the food was okay but nothing I would consider memorable.
Food was excellent as well as the service. Love this place
The food was delicious here and such a great atmosphere. We will definently be going back.
Very nice going back soon
Super good. Authentic fine dining with no dress code
Go-to spot for real food made by a proper chef. Doesn’t hurt that it’s the most legit bar in Quincy either...edging on craft cocktails. Chef Brad brings the indulgence of big city cuisine to us right here in little ‘ole Quincy. Think choice proteins, creative sauces and reductions, lobster bisque from scratch, Thai dishes, Cuban dishes, Midwest pork chop, and an evolving menu. Thyme Square is great for sandwiches, and BoodaLu is like a premium Red Lobster where you don’t have to pay extra to be harassed by the well served owner. Chef Shawn at the Tap Room is a fantastic chef, offering Brad’s only competition, but you’ll have two choices on the menu. Dunnbelly has a great space and selection: a full restaurant, patio, somm curated wine list, (hands down better) bar, and did I mention Karen is an ever experimenting pastry chef Amazing desserts. Two thumbs up, every time, for the best restaurant in Q-town.Unless you want a bud light and hot dog. Although, they respectfully serve that flavored water and they also have the best burger in Quincy. More...
Was in Quincy for business and this place is right next door to the Fairfield Inn. The food was outstanding for both flavor and portions. The bartender makes an awesome manhattan. Service was spot on. This is place I will definitely visit each time I am in Quincy. More...
Delicious food! Highly recommend the goat cheese dip and pot pie!
We have enjoyed every visit to this restaurant. 5 stars.
I almost didn't go here and then I went 2 nights in a row. It didn't look like much from the outside but once inside it is charming and has an overlook over a small body of water. They are serious about food and cocktails. I met Chef Brad and enjoyed my visit with him. I had the shrimp and grits which brought me back the second night. I tried to go somewhere else but remembering the smooth creamy grits with pesto, Parmesan and the char grilled shrimp with extra thick sliced bacon made come back. Chop salad with house dressing is divine. The old fashioned is their specialty and it did not disappoint. This is a little gem that I didn't expect to find in Quincy. More...
Great service. Jamaican jerk chicken was dry and difficult to cut with fork. The tuna "special" was basically raw (suppose to be that way), and requested more cooking time....boom! That did the trick and it was delicious! Nice atmosphere. More...
This place is charming and relaxing but not dull. The food is all homemade and delicious! I go there as often as I can. The staff is friendly and professional. More...
The food was very very good! The bistro burger with the bacon onion jam was flavorful, juicy, and thick to boot! The wait was pretty timely as well. Our food was out to us maybe 10-15 minutes after we ordered it. The only negative is the selection is a bit limited and it's a bit pricey. Though I can hardly complain about price. The burger and fries were worth every penny. The staff was also extremely down to earth and polite and made you feel like friends instead of the robotic customer service you may get at other restaurants. Definitely check it out! More...
Amazing as always!
I had dinner at Dunnbelly and liked it. While selections were relatively limited, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was decently well prepared. The restaurant isn't that large but there are only limited patrons when I visited, which made it a quiet and enjoyable meal. I will visit again if I am in the area next time!~ More...
I'm literally sitting here right now and I don't ever want to leave. The atmosphere is warm and the servers/hosts are friendly, fast and helpful. My fiancé and I had the lasagna and I'm mad because I finished my food and I don't have any left to take home with me. More...
This place was AMAZING... from the nice atmosphere over looking the frozen lake.. to very very friendly and knowledgeable waiting staff... the start was great. The appetizer we had was delicious and the entrees we chose were off the chart. The flat iron steak was tender and delicious. My wife had the shrimp and grits with bacon... and ohhhh my it was fire. Can't wait to go back again More...
Great food and EXCELLENT staff.
Great place fast and friendly
Unique menu offerings and beautiful view make dining hear a treat.
Had lunch there, food was good, staff was busy, seemed rushed. Limited parking in front of the restaurant, but park next door at the motel. Lunch menu limited, a few gluten free items. We had two sandwiches, no drinks, bill was about$22 they have a full bar. Nice view from the back, but they won't seat couples there, only larger parties, despite having empty to tables there. More...
Privately owned restaurant with excellent food and service! Owner runs the kitchen and visited all the guest!!
Ate here for the first time tonight with my sister and mother. To put it simply, we loved our meal. Shrimp and grits for me, cooked to perfection. Salmon for my sister, which she loved, and had enough to keep for lunch tomorrow. And my picky mother ordered the bone in pork chop, and she thought it was fantastic (and has lunch tomorrow now too, as it was huge). The bartender made an amazing sidecar, and the dessert was amazing. Can't wait to return to quincy with my wife and daughter in tow, and bring them here. More...
Been here quite a few times. Definitely in the top 3 restaurants in Quincy. Highly recommend.
We decided to try a different restaurant tonight and we were not disappointed at all. The food was excellent and the service was also! Save room for dessert because the creme brûlée was amazing! More...
they h wow this place is awesome! Great food oh so great! The Chef and his wife were so nice he came out himself and asked how things were and then came BACK out and offered us homemade pumpkin bread pudding on him! His wife makes it! OMG it was awesome! She came over and talked to us for a bit as well. They were so friendly and the food was just spectacular! Highly recommend going there we will for sure be going back and taking out teenage daughters w us as well! More...
Dunbellys is a fairly classy establishment with a beautiful view, fairly modest prices, and some really nice waiters. There servings were worthy. Only complaint I had is how slow the waiter was to refill my drinks but that's not to be confused with bad service. She was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and did check on us a few times to make sure everything was alright. More...
The start of my dinning experience at Dunbelly was a perfectly made Old Fashioned. I knew from this, that I would be very pleased by my meal and that I was. The appetizers were simple yet very unique. The chicken satay and spicy peanut sauce was something I was surprised to see and was extremely impressed by. The goat cheese and bread was also a savory treat that I highly recommend. My entree (a flat iron steak with bacon and onion jam) had the right amount of complexity for a steak dish and wasn't overcomplicated. In conclusion, the food and great service made for a great dinning experience. More...
Exceptionally pleasant.. The service is great and the food is phenomenal. My family eats at Dunbelly since opening regularly. We have had one less than adequate service experience they remedied immediately.. Brad, Karyn and staff work extremely hard to create an environment of care and concern for your whole dinning experience. If you are coming here expecting something it's not, shame on you for creating that expectation. This is a great place to have a date night or have a larger family meal. They will accommodate anything you need with the appropriate notice. More...
Food, drinks and service was awsome!
I love the Thai lettuce wraps!!!

Dunnbelly was a very enjoyable place to spend an hour. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent and the service was excellent. They had gluten free options in every category and were familiar with safe handling, even going out of their way to pan fry a dish to not much oil. More...
Everything from the atmosphere to the service, and most importantly the food, was phenomenal! Will be back! So many unique options that you can only find at dunbelly.
Dinner on a late October Saturday night. The atmosphere is casual, but the food one ups that. I came in with a hankering for beef, but went for Shrimp & Grits. I’m familiar with the Quincy dinning experience. I worked at the former hotspot 2thirty4 for a year and a half. I went for the Shrimp & Grits to compare it to what Kelley used to serve up. I was pleasantly surprised! The grits were perfectly cooked, as were the shrimp and those terrific crisp with the perfect amount of fat bacon strips! I meant to visit this place months ago, but the shout-out expressing they use Terripin Farms produce is what secured my visit! The owner visited our table twice, the first time to bring me the outstanding “Winter is Coming” cocktail. Keep it up folks, it was a great service! More...
Every meal I've had here had been AMAZING!
Delicious food, awesome cocktail menu and exquisite desserts!!Menu has a good variety of options - 2 favorites were the Pasta Bella and the burger! The mac n' cheese is pretty amazing also. There are daily specials always offered that are unique and tasty - like fresh fish. The desserts are made from scratch and change daily & weekly. The chocolate mousse is to die for. The best part though are the owners and their team who bring a family feeling to the restaurant and keep me coming back! This is a stop worth making if you're lucky enough to be in the Quincy, IL area! More...
Really fresh and delicious food. Cute, clean place, cocktails are complex, and their prices are quite reasonable and fair.
Delicious food, good atmosphere.
A wonderful addition to Quincy. A bit expensive but the food is delicious. Menu is simple as is the atmosphere. In time I hope both will mature.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Recommend the goat cheese dip
The Bistro burger with the bacon onion jam was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had! Very reasonable prices, super cute and cozy decor and excellent service!
I just had the most amazing burger I have EVER had!! We talked about going to Texas Roadhouse and decided on trying something new. Wow are we ever glad we chose Dunnbelly instead!! We came out to celebrate my 50th birthday and I could not have had a better experience anywhere!!! More...
Quincy has a real gem with Dunnbelly. The space is comfortable, with a really nice flow to it, not a bad table to sit at. The menu has an extreme amount of thought put into it - every dish we tried was inviting and approachable for a wide variety of diners. The bar selection, especially wine, is intentional, well-priced, and the staff are thrilled to guide you through your experience with pairings, suggestions and more. There's a lot of pride in this place, and it shows. Check out the back patio while its still warm out! More...
Great menu items! Very accommodating for someone with celiac. The shrimp and grits we're spectacular. Will definitely go back.
Great food great service
The ribeye was outstanding, though over priced for the area. Atmosphere and service are lacking for this kind of pricing.
Excellent food and drinks
We enjoyed our first time dinner very much. Nice atmosphere, good, unique food choices. Waitress pleasant! Will try again.
Good food, slow service.
Dunbelly is fantastic with it's lovable and cozy decor and it's beautiful 3 acre pond in the back. The food is delicious and it is totally home made and the staff here is the most friendliest people that I have met in a long time.
Excellent food and service.
The food is excellent, and the drinks are very well made. No complaints at all about anything from our table
Quality food and service. Not your usually bistro, have some interesting choices , nice appetizers and Home made desserts.
What a great dining experience! The food is always delicious and the staff attentive. The upbeat atmosphere is fun and inviting. Each menu item (and I’ve tried several) are prepared perfectly with great attention to detail! Love this place! More...
Great food. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Awesome urban bistro place!! Would come again if I were in town.
We reserved a table for 8 on New Years Eve and it was a new place for all of us. From the moment we arrived until we left it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was modern and upbeat...fun and welcoming. Our waitress Catrina was a delight...she was fun...answered all our questions...and was very attentive to our table. The food was amazing! My husband and I are already planning our next visit and I am sure that our group will be back again...best natural cut fries ever! More...
I was there for lunch and had the steak sandwich with fries and a piece of chocolate cake. Delicious! Staff was friendly and my glass was never empty.
We had dinner there last week! Fantastic!!! Great food and very good service...
Loved our lunch! Save room for desserts!!
First time here , the good was outstanding !
Valentine's Day dinner and wine were excellent.
Best lunch I have had in Quincy in years. Attention to detail, quality ingredients and knowledgeable staff is how they do it. From the homemade ranch dressing on the salad to the perfectly grilled shrimp in my wrap, this was a win win! We had the goat cheese starter and could have made a meal of it. My friends daughter ordered Mac and cheese, and they happened to be out if it (must be pretty popular) they went out of their way to accommodate her with a different choice. I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. I almost forgot the wonderful nitro beer we paired with grilled shrimp wrap with pearled couscous. I wish I had taken photos. More...
My husband and I have eaten here twice recently and had a great experience both times. We enjoyed sitting by the pond: we watched a muskrat swim over to a duck and two ducklings seemingly to say hello! On our most recent visit, I had the salmon special and my husband had the pasta special: both were delicious. They have fun summer drink specials too. With great food, good service and a fun atmosphere, what's not to like? More...
Old fashion top notch! Had the shrimp and grits, you will not be disappointed. Creme brulee for dessert, why not! Great place to stop for dinner while in Quincy IL. Bartender is very pleasant to talk to while your there. Will be back soon! More...
Dunnbelly is incredible!!!!! If you want good food eat here--everything is home made from scratch. Brought my daughter to lunch. We stop every time we're through Q-town. We enjoy the home made desserts, and we love the bacon-jam burger with zucchini pickles. Tried the Thai lettuce wraps--yum! Great unique wine selection- not the usual suspects- fun to see & try something new. Real choices at bar too. The pond in back is so nice with animals that include ducks and turtles. My daughter loved this place and was so sad to leave Quincy and Dunnbelly. More...
Dunnbelly is a new, solid option in Quincy. But stick to the sandwiches and burgers with a price point under $15 and you'll be fine. I opted for the fish of the day, which happened to be a swordfish, and was disappointed in the contents of the meal. It was fine and a super thick cut, but not worth the $28 by any means. It came on an empty plate (as I ordered a salad instead of a side), so it was a very sad looking fish plate. The mac and cheese side was exceptional being home cooked and all, as was the cheesecake desert with a nice banana flavor and perfect crust. Beers were cheap at about $5, with wines running $6-7. Dunnbelly is a fantastic option for an American meal at an affordable price if you stick to the main menu. I would easily go back again for dinner and ideally sit outside and experience some lakeside dining. More...
Very good food! The chef brought it out personally and ensured it was to our liking. Super fresh and straight off the grill. Wait staff was super friendly and quick. Definitely would recommend and next time I'm back in Quincy, I'll be eating here! More...
I'm an occasional visitor to Quincy and I always make a point of eating at Dunnbelly. This is an exceptional restaurant that could more than hold its own in any foodie-oriented big city. Every dish I've had has been delicious, freshly prepared from high quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. The wine selections are notable. The desserts are delightful. The staff is friendly and helpful and the owners clearly have a passion for good food and drink. I highly recommend Dunnbelly...and if the weather cooperates definitely eat on the back patio! More...
Quincy is lucky to have a great new restaurant. As a periodic visitor to the city for business, I had tried most all of the upscale dining options in town. Dunnbelly is the new leader of the pack. The food, drinks, and service are all excellent. More...
Had lunch here today. WOW! Italian beef and Cuban black bean soup. Loaded with fun flavors! Cant seem to get the pic to upload. Trust me .......its soooooo gooooood! More...
Excellent food. The service was a bit slow. Pricing does not seem commensurate with the service and atmosphere.
Patio seating is great for a spring night. Combined with friendly & prompt service and tasty food & drink a pleasant evening. The Ribs special with mac & cheese was so good went back the next night to repeat. More...
Dropped in close to closing and didn't want too much. The menu looked amazingly good, but I had a thought, I wanted dessert. And what a dessert! I had Karyn's Raspberry Crisp. It was amazing... Fresh raspberries, delicate flavoring, not too sweet, not too sour, just right. The crisp, light, flavorful matched with the raspberries. Served with ice cream and whipped cream, and a fresh brewed cup of coffee. The service, also amazing, especially since it was so close to closing. I'm coming back!P.S. sit outside in the back by the pond More...
Hidden gem! Would likely not have noticed this from the road but read some great reviews. The interior is adorable and has a great atmosphere. The server was so helpful about accommodating my allergies. We had a great meal and the cocktails were artisanal and lovely. Will be returning! More...
Like a shinning star in the forest! This is such a wonderful establishment and the owners definitely have a passion for what they do and it shows from the updated "Magnolia" charm to the presentation of the delectable delights they serve! The atmosphere is friendly and cheerful, service is attentive and not pushy. The food is fresh and the choices are plentiful for every taste. A must is the warm goat cheese dip! Pot Pie, Burgers, Lettuce wraps were all top notch for lunch! You cannot miss here! Dunnbelly Bar and Bistro is right on target for a simple night out or a grand celebration!! More...
Absolutely freakin loved this place! The food was incredible, cooked to perfection. The cocktails even better. And the owners Brad and Karen, the greatest. They have an impeccable team of genuine people. I was in town for work and saw this cute restaurant right outside my hotel. The establishment is adorable, very inviting. I was having one of those "bad days" where if anything could go wrong, it did. Brad and bartender Misty were kind and gave me the Royal treatment. I have to say it's refreshing to know there are businesses out there who still understand the importance of creating a positive customer experience . We all shared stories and laughs. They invited me back the following evening for another great night, and best believe I went. Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience! I wish you all nothing but the best! More...
Amazing food, great taste and friendly hosts! Brad the owner chef is aweome! Great apps and entrees
Very friendly staff! It's very convenient that their menu labels the items as "gluten free" or "vegetarian". The polenta is fantastic! Today I ordered the Thai Lettuce Wraps with tempeh, and the chef came out and talked to me about my dietary restriction (I can't have gluten). He changed the recipe for me and made sure I could have it! I've never seen a chef put so much effort into making sure a meal is safe for the customer! Overall, the food was delicious and the staff was beyond outstanding! More...
Went in on a Saturday night not knowing what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised! Delicious food, great service and mid-range prices! We will be back
Great addition to Quincy. I am a finicky eater and was worried by the limited offerings. My husband likes to try everything on the menu. I had the chicken pot pie which was excellent and I'd highly recommend. Huge pieces of chicken and plenty of it. My husband had the shrimp and grits and said it was also excellent. We also had the breadboard as an appetizer which was good, 2 different types of bread and butters (not sure if #2 was butter or cheese spread but the butter I had was very sweet kind of maybe a maple walnut butter?).We went on a Tuesday and they were out of a few things already...apparently their delivery truck hadn't come so no seafoods or pork chops to be had. I think Dunnbelly will be around for a while!!!Enclosed pics of the menu as well as the Duck Buns we ordered as appetizer. Duck Buns were very good.Update***we have been back to Dunnbelly a few more times and other than occasional slow service, everything has been beyond expectations! Daughter had braised short ribs and couldn't stop raving about what a delight they were. I had their sausage lasagna special and it was delicious. I expect the rigatoni with sausage is similar. Another great experience and Dunnbelly has officially become our favorite restaurant in Quincy!!! More...
Dunnbelly was a welcomed sight to see when staying at the hotel next door and it did not disappoint. I ordered the flat iron steak and a glass of Cabernet. The steak was cooked perfectly and the wine paired very well. I will definitely be eating there next time I come into town and would recommend it to anyone coming to Quincy. More...
Great discovery. Waitress Misty was wonderful. Food superb. Went back for our Second evening. Great again !!
Very good first experience here. I had the flat iron steak and I don't think it could have been any better. Great atmosphere with super service! Much better than any chain restaurant you will find. Appetizers were very good and drink menu was a change. Keep up the great work and glad to have this restaurant in Quincy. More...
