Bailey has been walking with James since summer 2015 and I trust James 100% to look after Bailey as if he is his own. James is reliable, hard working, trustworthy professional and overall just lovely. Would 100% recommend him.

Lola is now 9 & James has been walking her since she was a little ball of fluff & we couldn't do without him! Lola adores him & has the best of times rain, hail, wind & snow & occasionally in the sunshine too! Lola had a hip replacement last year & James was amazing- popping into see her & taking her out to the toilet when she couldn't go for her walks which made it all so much easier for us & Lola. We couldn't recommend him highly enough- he obviously loves his job & all the dogs & they all love ❤️ him too. More...

Q&As

I love all the dogs that i walk every day is so different.

Having had dogs all my life I have gained a wealth of both experience and knowledge in handling and understanding dogs.

I decided to start dog walking after a long career in social work. At that time my own dog was being looked after with a dog walker, and that’s when it hit me, that’s what I want to do.

Dunedin Doggies was established and we have never looked back the business has grown from strength to strength. Leaving your dog at home while you are out is never ideal but I aim to make it that little bit easier by providing an exceptional dog walking service that you can rely on. My mission is to make each walk the highlight of your dog’s day and to help take away some of the daily anxiety you feel at leaving them behind.

I will collect your dog from your home or office, take him / her to open space areas free from traffic (mostly woodland walks), walk your dog for an hour and during this time play their favourite games with them and your dog will enjoy the walks and socialising with other dogs.

I guarantee that your dog will return safe, happy and tired after an excellent workout. I am happy also to reinforce any training or routines that you may have already in place.

I always check that ample fresh water is available. Wet dogs are towelled down if wet and I also follow any feeding or medication requests you might have.

I vary the walks, but rest assured the walks are free from traffic along some of the nicest wooded areas around such as Craigie Farm and occasionally the pentlands. Sometimes we may wander down near the banks of the Firth of Forth, but always in safe areas, where your dog can be free of harm.

Whether your dog needs a one off walk, for a couple of weeks, or on a regular daily basis, please get in touch.
