It was easy and fast to request a quote through their website. The price was very competitive. I was able to call the sales rep and update my inventory as it got closer to move day and I had a better idea of what was moving. I secured a move cross country with Dumbo Moving, from start to finish the customer service and communication was excellent. Brad was fantastic to work with. About a week before I was slated to move, I finalized a sublet that was to include all of my furniture thus negating my need for a moving company. SECOND REVIEW - This is an update from an older review ( 5 stars as well). I used Dumbo for the second time in a few months and they seemed even better than the first time. Milan and the truck 38 crew did an absolutely phenomenal work moving us from upper west side to battery park. They were extremely fast, precise, professional and courteous. For the second time, 100% recommend!

My boyfriend and I have used Dumbo for our past three moves and they never disappoint. I'm sitting here now in our new apartment having just finished moving in. The Dumbo team finished HOURS ahead of schedule and we had A LOT of stuff. I'm really impressed.

The crew were Fabulous. They moved me and my family down a big flight of stairs and and then up an even bigger flight of stairs. In a crazy, stressful period, these guys were amazing. It's a two way street. I was upfront with them about all the items I was moving, took pictures, and let them know as much as I could beforehand. I was only charged ONE price. The guys arrived early, and were super quick and handled our stuff with care. I was not their to receive all my things so my family whom received my shipment did not account for all my boxes leaving one missing. This is really a 4.5 star review, but I am rounding up. The movers were great: they arrived on time, were careful in their handling and moved quickly. The only downside was that there was a mix up with management who told us that they had another job in between picking up and dropping off our stuff. We got an unexpected call from the movers saying that they were already at our new apartment an hour after they left our place. I couldn't be happier with my move this past week from a Cobble Hill brownstone to a Brooklyn Heights elevator building.

I was quoted a price of $785 to move my one bedroom after I filled out the request form online and talked to Alex. And that's what I was charged at the end--$785. There were no extra fees or up-charges. This included all the wrapping, taking apart the bed, packaging the paintings and mirrors, etc. Plus delivery and removal of 20 plastic bins which was so much better than messing with cardboard boxes.

It was tough move the day after the blizzard, and it was super cold and snowy, but the crew was friendly, patient and courteous the entire time. The truck showed up right at the start of my 9 am to 11 am window.

Some of my furniture, including the big piano, was hard to get out of the brownstone, but no one on the crew seemed frustrated.

They worked fast and I was all moved into my new place by 2 pm. They put everything exactly where I wanted it. And they did such a good job wrapping and transporting everything, nothing got broken or even had a scratch on it.

Moving is stressful, but these guys made it a lot easier than I was expecting! More...

We just used Dumbo Moving and Storage for the 2nd time. Both times they came in with one of the most competitive bids on Citymove dot com and clearly our experience the first time was good enough for us to accept their bid again. This 2nd time though the moving service they provided was actually exceptional. The crew was really nice and professional and the guys were genuinely a pleasure to be around for the duration of the move. They worked very hard but were also efficient. They moved quickly but were also careful with any fragile item. (For example, I was ready to tell them "be careful!" with my beloved TV but they were already super careful with it.).

Leading up to the move, after we accepted the bid, communication with the sales team was thorough and easy. They were clear with their instructions and available for questions when we had them.

Overall our experience with Dumbo was great - in fact, it was about as enjoyable of a moving process as it could have been. Bottom line is, I would definitely use Dumbo again and probably will. My recommendation to everyone who uses CityMove is to try and be as accurate as possible with your job posting. Also, reach out to your mover with an updated list of boxes/items a few days before the move so they can adjust price (up or down) based on the new list. We did this with Dumbo and they actually lowered our price slightly because we decided to not take a couple pieces of furniture. Communication before the crew shows up is key. More...

I had an amazing experience using Dumbo Moving and I would definitely recommend them. My team and I switched offices within Dumbo, and we found the staff to be extremely accommodating. They arrived earlier than planned, which was extremely helpful since they did a lot of the prep work for our move as well (finishing taping up boxes, etc).
