After moving house I had to find new groomers for my 2 briards. I was a bit nervous as one of them is special needs having suffered brain damage after being poisoned. The other is a lockdown puppy who isn't as socialised as she should be due to lockdown so is a bit wary of strangers and new situations. I needn't have worried. I took them both to meet Chris and have a look around the salon before they were groomed. He was very patient with them and spent a good hour with them before saying he would take them on. The 2 girls who groom them have quickly established a great relationship with them so they now enjoy going for their fortnightly bottom out brush through which means I can keep them in full coat. Many groomers won't take on big dogs and only want to clip. As the youngster is to be shown it was vital that the groomers knew not to cut or trim in any way. I couldn't recommend them more. More...

Jake had his first grooming experience two years ago at Dog and Bone. It was so good that I wanted to return, but COVID intervened and as I live in Warwickshire I couldn’t return until now. Having booked a week’s holiday recently I booked another session for Jake. All procedures were in place to keep everyone safe and a very scruffy Jake arrived to be groomed. An hour and a half later I collected a dog transformed. He looked immaculate, very sleek but still with his hairy face. Perfect. I will definitely book another session when I’m next on holiday. Absolutely First class service today from Harriet in Newcastle Emlyn. I would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone. Having received a diagnosis last week that our Dog, Syffi has lymphoma and effectively now on palliative care. I explained to the Dog Groomer, Harriet on arrival the situation. The love care and attention Harriet gave to Syffi was absolutely genuine and heart warming. Syffi was treated like a princess and came out of the shop happy and smiling, looking fantastic. Today i had my 3 dogs tilly, wilber and toby groomed in the mobile grooming salon, it was amazing! By far the best grooms any of them have ever had. Toby the bichon mix has always been a very scruffy looking dog even after the groomers but today when he came out i was so shocked because he actually looked incredible! Like one of those poster dogs in the magazines (totally unexpected) tilly and wilber are both cavaliers and i really hate getting them trimmed i love the long hair, grinch paws and fluffy butts but I promised my family 2 yearly grooms during the winter months to help with the mud and dirt. every time they have been before i always hate it and often cry because i miss the coat so much but Harriet actually made them look fantastic and i prefer that to their usual look the ears especially don’t look trimmed or cut in any way they have just as much volume and length as before but so much lighter i don’t really know how it works but it looks wonderful and the paws are perfectly rounded and even. Anyway this was probably a longer review than it needed to be but to any other fellow cav owners this is definitely the place to get them groomed! More...

What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about the work is meeting different dogs and their owners, the majority of whom are repeat customers and have been with us for a number of years. Working the way we do allows me time with my own gang of rescue and rehome pawpals who I share my home with. Without these I could probably have retired by now.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Originally we couldnt find anyone to groom our dogs the way we wanted them done. I was not keen on leaving them at the groomers all day, and wanted to be able to see them been groomed. When we moved to Wales, no one locally was offering this service. From experience we have found that working this way also allows us to take the extra time required with those who perhaps have not been used to grooming.
Why should our clients choose you?
With Salons based in less busy locations,our aim is to provide a peaceful environment for you and your dog. Using only products we would use on our dogs, made from naturally based or Organic ingredients. The way we work allows us to take the extra time required for dogs who are perhaps a bit nervous or from a rescue background. We also welcome well behaved humans who wish to watch, and we dont charge for tea and coffee
