What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
it's not enough to play great music, you have to know the crowd and feel the ebb and flow of the evening. the key is to listen to the ladies. they'll always tell you if you're in the groove of the evening!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
my 'style' is more of a vibe. I like everything to be fun and positive. there's a lot of songs I love that i rarely play at gigs just because they're not appropriate for a wedding or corporate event. i try to follow the theme of the event both musically and lyrically.
What do you love most about your job?
I think the best part of my job is making people smile. when the crowd looks at me and gives out a cheer for the track I just dropped, I'm like
“yeah..that's right! I knew you'd love this track!!
I LOVE that you love this track, too!"
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like being my own boss because I can make sure everything I do is 'done right'. I don't have to tell the client I can't do something because of company policy or have to 'nickel and dime' them to meet corporate profit margins.
Why should our clients choose you?
It's just me! When large companies have several people handling your event, you may not know who your DJ/MC is until a week before. I personally handle every event from planning to execution as if my name were on the line — because IT IS.
That being said, I am affiliated with an entertainment company that allows me to offer referrals for photo, photo booth, video, etc and back up/emergency services of a big entertainment company if needed.
